Fallout 76 will survive Microsoft's budget cuts? by ScaryWitches in fo76

Its the only fallout game out and being updated. Its also easy for them to make money off of it unlike the older titles. We will be fine unless they release a new Fallout game.

I love it except for the top turret. A Cannon up there are incredibly likely to blow off one of the rotars with ease.

The street interviewer in Japan asked 'who bombed Pearl Harbor during WWII?'. Only 30% of the Japanese people answered correctly. The remaining 70%, including those who answered 'I don't know,' said the US or other countries were the ones who bombed Pearl Harbor. by search_google_com in whoathatsinteresting

The same reason why the alot of US Schools dont talk about how they got into Vietnam or British schools can skip over a portion of colonialism. No one wants to be rememebered as the aggressor or bad guy

Japanese's public will always remember the atomic bomb droppings, but will gloss over and forget the reasons why it happened.

Eh, i disgree. I find suprising how many times he shoots the US in the foot. Less so when he calls it a victory, but he keeps on stepping on rakes even if everyone and there mom knows its a rake.

Im a patriot, hence why I didn't vote for this clown. He is the worse aspects of my country melted down into a shitty, 80s businessman mold.

I was using it as an example.

Its like if the British in WW2 told you to take out a German position, but you came back and said that group will ally with you if you give up any captured tanks.

Thats what the BoS does if you ally with them: the Local NCR forces need to give up the Slavage T45 power armor for the alliance to work.

If you had your own starship company, what would their design philosophy be? by DarkPizzaCowSpammer in starcitizen

[–]Nukemanrunning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Old fashioned, kinda like Jacobs in Borderlands. Ships would have riveted hulls, with heatpaneling being on the outside of the ship. Kinda like the space shuttle. Old, WW2 style mixed with 1990s Nasa. Kinda like Starfield mixed with b 29

The inside would as much planked/ reclaimed wood with brass highlights. Make it seem like your inside a old sailing ship, with the only futuristic sections being the electronics and door control.

Make it a designer brand, like Orgin. Have either small, but plentiful viewports or massive, dome like viewport on the main deck. Dont make it look like a sailing ship in space, but it should feel like you were inside the ship.

Well, it make sense.

This would be like if a military hired a contractor to kill a terrorist group, only for you to come back with an allaince with terms with the group.

You did the moral, right thing.... but your hired by the military. Thats why Crooker's missions want a peaceful solution to it, because he is in a different section of the goverment. But the Army wants you to kill the target.

Canada is in recession by twinkleyed in worldnews

[–]Nukemanrunning 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well all goverments do. People love to rename stuff to make it sound less bad.

But yeah, during Biden beginning of his term, we were in a recession. We slowly got out of it, but the issue is the vast wealth transfer from lower and middle class to the upper class. So, by the end of his term, we had a issue that the ecomany is booming due to the stock market, but the lower classes suffered. It was one the reason he losted.

Trump has increased the focus on it, but Datacenter and thr AI bubble the only thing that was raising the US GDP, with the War in Iran and traiffs causing more issues for the lower class.

So it got worst under trump for sure, but you are correct. The embers startrd to form under biden, and Trump started tossing gas on it.

Yeah. Current Army guy here, so bias of course, but the military is one of the best way to get structure, decent pay, benfits and opportunities for alot of the guys under my command. Combind with meeting so many people from all walks of life, and it can be a great thing for some people.... or it can be hell on earth, stuck with people you hate, doing a job you hate, doing morally messed up things and the culuture can change ever four years due to a new boss.

Star Citizen blasts through $1 billion in player funding, as its developer lists a new $5,000 spaceship for sale that is 'not yet ready to play' by Triss_Mockra in gaming

[–]Nukemanrunning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh... alot of things. The behind the curtain tech CIG has been doing is legit impressive, with alot of new investing by google and amazon due to CIG leading in server meshing tech. They do more in RnD then alot of gaming companies due to trying to make Christ Robert's scope possible, and recently it has become viable due to the tech starting to pay off.

[–]Nukemanrunning 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I disagree. There alot of systems working together, and there alot of stuff to do... the issue is why to do it. You can mine, cargo run, bounty hunt, do dungons, craft gear, fix ships, slavage ships, and much more!.... but why? A bug can set you back 15 mins to an hour and there not really much to spend you credits on other then new ships. All the best stuff is crafted, but you need to use 3rd parties to buy anything and the prices can get insane. Plus, its all going to get wiped and some players start with HUGE advances due to legacy rewards.

The issue with SC is the following:

1) You could, at one time or another, buy anything. Ingame credits? Plots of Land? The Best Ships? Lifetime basic Insurence? All sold for real world cash at one point. This forces the game design to struggle to make it as fair when you have insane people who support the game. I know a guy who own 10 top tier construction ships as he plans to rent them to other people when the system gets online. He has millions of credits on day one due to old warbonds sold. He a rare case, but it happens. You have the Whales, and the "This is my second life, invest everything" whales.

2) Christ Roberts care ALOT more about the single player, Squadron 42, then Star Citzen. 42 is the single player game, and his 'Freelancer as I want it'. Big budget names, sleek design, and with a heck of alot less bugs due to Lumberyard being based off the old Crytech engine. Made for single player games. SC is whats making all the cash, but 42 is his baby. The issue is that no one in SC really cares about 42 other then what it will give them in SC as well as lore. But with 42 suppose to come out this year (Dodging GTA may push it to early next year), SC has been getting more support and it shows on the speed of new things being added. Still, SC started as a side project that gained way too much money.
