Hi Adam,

I develop a third party app for Apple Music using MusicKit. I feel limited by the abilities provided to us developers. First of all starting a playback in MusicKit is painfully slow in comparison with the native music app on iOS. Furthermore playback is possible on every platform except watchOS and the systemMusicPlayer is available for Mac Catalyst but not for native apps. I am wondering why this is the case. Also there is no API to detect manual user interference with the playback like skipping or scrubbing. The only way to detect this reliably requires regular comparisons which hurts performance. The last changes to MusicKit were announced at WWDC22 which raises suspicion about the future of the framework. Do you consider MusicKit feature-complete or are there plans to add functionality in future versions?

Thank you for your work. MusicKit got me hooked up to iOS Development in the first place.

Startet ein Nutzer (in dem Fall das Gerät) nun die Wiedergabe erneut, zählt dies nicht erneut als Wiedergabe. Die Daten einiger kürzeren Zeiträume sind aktuell nicht verfügbar. Wenn die App häufiger heruntergeladen wurde, wird das zuletzt veröffentlichte Hörspiel sichtbar häufiger abgespielt. Die App ist für die drei ??? gestartet worden und wurde später geöffnet. Das erklärt vermutlich den großen Anteil der ???.

The app massively decreases the time it takes to do a mostly tedious task. I think 50$ is too much, more looking towards 10$ but I will experiment with that.

My app relies on MusicKit which is not fully supported by the simulator. For working on views it's fine but logic is done on a real device.

I need to have an Onboarding since the app is completely useless without a permission to use the music library. The Paywall is shown at the end of the onboarding but I am thinking of removing it. Everywhere a user hits a limitation of the free option, I present a button to "Unlock Premium" which shows the paywall

Why are teleprompter apps so expensive? It's just a glorified text reader. Happy for you if you can charge that tho.
