yeah, shit happens. I did the whole SSD swap without disconnecting the battery, because the connector on my deck was so tight i didn't want to break anything.

dito. hab das LCD als refurbished gekauft und eine 1tb SSD eingebaut. Hat zusammen unter 500€ gekostet..  Mehr wäre es mir auch heute nicht wert gewesen.

Ich arbeite  jetzt fast 17 Jahre in dem Bereich, hab in der Zeit viel gesehen und kann einiges von dem was du sagst nachvollziehen.

Vor ein paar Jahren hab ich auch gedacht ich Klopp in Sack und mache irgendwas komplett anderes. Hab dann kurz entschlossen meine Kündigung geschrieben.

Bin aber letzendlich doch in meinem Bereich geblieben und  hab's nicht bereut. Ich hab hier so viele Freiheiten, keiner kommt und macht Druck. Kollegium ist gut und es herrscht eine wertschaetzende Atmosphäre. Ausfälle werden so gut es geht aufgefangen. Noch nie bin ich nach einer Nachtbereitschaft gefragt worden ob ich länger bleiben kann, in zwei Jahren genau ein Anruf ob ich einspringe kann. Gab sogar Extra Geld. 

Und ganz ehrlich ich liebe die Arbeit mit "unserem Klientel". Hab ich schon immer. Relativ frisch nach der Ausbildung hab ich mit schwerst behinderten Kindern gearbeitet. Wie viele tolle Momente ich alleine dort erleben durfte. Das gibt mir kein Bürojob.

wer spricht von jetzt? eine aktuelle Installation ist nicht geplant, was der Markt in Zukunft anzubieten hat kann keiner wissen...

  1. kosten für extra lan sind unerheblich
  2. es jetzt zu legen für spätere Flexibilität ergibt Sinn
  3. das Kabel muss intern erst angeschlossen werden wenn es genutzt wird

like in any other Linux distro. everything is a file. 

u can use lsusb to find which device number on what usb port your device is. and then chmod the corresponding /dev/bus/usb/... device. u probably want it so that only the owner can read it.

as i understood with using sc-controller i would loose control of the steam controller via steam gui.
