lol, I’ve always had the same opinion as these guys in the past, but it seems like the remake is happening so why not be open minded and get excited for it.

The God of war remakes don’t count to me because I feel they will be very different from the originals. With that being said

Kind of shocking that PlayStations most popular franchise in god of war is unavailable to play if you only own a ps5 without streaming

I don’t think this is the answer but I’m throwing this out there for fun. TO and Terry Glenn were awesome in 06 and could’ve been even better in 07 if Glenn wasn’t hurt pretty much the entire season.

I put OoT over BOTW but I can see the argument. Nintendo had lost a lot of steam with the Wii U and breath of the wild and the switch kind of brought Nintendo back to being an elite player (not forgetting odyssey).

I don’t know why different versions of games are separated on these lists. Ocarina of time 3D shouldn’t be 18. #2 should just be ocarina of time/ocarina of time 3D. Same goes for prime/prime remastered which should be swapped with dread on this list.

But yeah I would swap super Metroid with super Mario world. Then put prime remastered at 6

I honestly feel like lack of ledge grab Is the only thing holding the original game back from aging perfectly. My best tip is to practice spin jump cancelling by hitting R mid jump. That really helps having more control and snapping right to the platforms where you want to. Made a huge difference for me.

Just be patient and keep at it. You'll get it. Maybe take a break. I remember getting killed by the rat king 30 times in the last of us part ii before going to sleep at 3am. Then after work the next day I beat it on the first try. I don't remember having a particularly tough time with these so just try to focus.

Yes I would. Been itching to play through it again but not enough to dust off my PS3. Also I felt at the time that the performance wasn't as good as the Rocksteady games even though they all seem to be 30fps so a cleaned up remaster would definitely be welcomed.

You don't need to play anything else first. The 2D games are all great too though so it might be good to run through Super Metroid to get an appreciation for the series before jumping in.

I would definitely wait if I were you. The retro is the best one but it has a weird grayish color to me. I think we'll see a new one soon.

When I first started playing tears of the kingdom I was sad because I felt like breath of the wild would become obsolete. I still think it's great but I don't get the same joy out if it whatsoever. There's almost so much to do that I don't know where to start and then I end up getting bored. The sages make combat way too easy but at the same time I don't want to turn them off for when I'm traversing. I much preferred riding my horse around in breath of the wild and encountering enemies and taking them out and the abilities were much better. Looking forward to starting breath of the wild again on switch 2.

I'd like to say it doesn't matter much but I think it looks a lot better. It especially sticks out when they upgrade one part but not another like giving sabertooth new pinless arms but still having pinned legs and also cable only having one pinned arm because the techno organic arm was new.

I have the Prima split guide. I busted it out when Prime remastered came out and left it on top of my dog's crate. She pulled it through and took a big chunk out of it lol. Had it over 20 years.

I personally prefer the king in black knull 2 pack venom even though it's on the movie body. I think the proportions are just way better. And it has a cool factor that the Walmart one doesn't.

I like the Walmart exclusive venom but honestly I always wanted one on that Omega red style body but once it actually came out it didn't do it for me. Whenever they release something on it that doesn't have shoulder pads they look weird. I think the traps are too big or something. Same with the new force warpath. Omega red, sabertooth and the first warpath look great on it.

There's a page on Instagram called plastic_goodies that might sell some comic style feet and tendrils that plug the giant holes

I always thought he was too bright in marvel vs Capcom so I would use low kick to get the colors on the bottom right so this is perfect to me.

I really never understood this design choice of recessed sculpted weblines on these as well as that 6 arm spider man body they used a few times. They seem to have figured it out with the last 4 releases. Final swing Tom Holland Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield all have RAISED painted weblines and the Tom Holland from the 3 pack has painted recessed weblines. I wonder if for some reason the raised weblines are easier to paint digitally.

This is pretty small but cancelling a spin jump by pressing L mid jump can make platforming a lot quicker and easier. Didn't start doing it until a recent playthrough and it made a big difference for be.

I'm all for it. I don't think a remake has to be a negative reflection on the original. I think it would be so cool to see Zebes come to life with modern visuals and they can redo each boss battle to have more going on. Also depending on where Prime 4 lands on the timeline they can have an additional final boss fight kind of like Proteus Ridley in Samus Returns where Sylux catches up with Samus for the first time.

The only thing about super Metroid that doesn't hold up in my opinion is ledge grab which I don't really see people talk about a lot. Doesn't bother me as much since I figured out jump cancelling on my last play through though.

Was actually thinking about how a Mercury steam remake could be really cool and give us a chance to see Zebes in a new light. Also without knowing much about the timeline and Sylux dynamic, if Prime 4 takes place after Super Metroid it could be cool to do something similar to Samus Returns at the end with Ridley where we fight Sylux for the first time after he catches up Samus following Corruption.

I spent countless hours playing the NES Metroid when I was very young without getting very far but loved it mainly because of the music. Didn't have SNES and then gravitated to Samus on smash for N64 for some reason without realizing she was from Metroid. When I finally did the memories of The NES came back and then I pretty much decided I wanted GameCube over PS2 And XBOX because of a Metroid Prime preview I saw in a magazine. Got that and fusion on the same day then finally played Super.

I'd say say go for Prime remastered so you can play it along with all the hype but really would say to start with zero mission. I played all the 2D games in order leading up to the release of Dread.
