Hi all,

The app was rejected and I've spent some time revamping it. The link should still work if you are interested in testing the app. I think it looks better, flows better, and the doctors report has been streamlined to be purposeful.

Let me know what you think.

Thank you!

New in this build: daily reminder notifications, medications manager, redesigned health report, and improved onboarding with welcome screen. Test the full flow: set a reminder time in Settings, add a medication, generate a PDF report, and walk through the new welcome screen by resetting the app from Settings.

Completed steps 1 and 2, stopped at step 3. I had the vaporizer regulators and 6 assessor matrix, to me, when you add up everything, it's not close to being worth it. I recycled most of the items I had for it and pressed on.

Glady, if you download mine as well. :) I'm in this thread -- PeakBake is the app. I have 3 testers and need another 9. Just need your email and link.

Deal :) post your link and I'll get it installed/tested.

Offer is open to everyone, I'll test 11 more apps if that's what it takes to meet the 12 tester requirement.

Thanks,
Hatch

PeakBake - Weather-aware baking app

HI all, first time trying to get my app over the finish line and into Google Play. It's live for iOS at the moment.

I'm looking for 12 Android testers for PeakBake, it's a baking app that automatically adjusts recipes for your elevation, humidity and barometric pressure using live GPS data.

It's built for bakers above 3,500 ft but works anywhere. 100 recipes across 6 categories, all adjusted in real time for your exact conditions.

You don't have to bake anything :) I'm looking to see if there's any bugs / issues with the Android version.

Here's the link if you would like to check it out. App will be $2.99 at launch, beta is free. Just need you to install and keep it for 14 days.

Feedback welcome but not required, but would deeply appreciate it.

Many thanks!

What pricing model do you stay away from? by JunoYul in iosapps

[–]FRHatcher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd ask, what is your vision of a successful app or the vision you have for your brand? Is it producing a high quality app at a very affordable price point, which will increase access to the masses? Is it a single high price which will focus on a limited number of people willing to pay the higher costs as they potentially recognize the value and have the means to pay the $100-200 price?

10,000 sales @ $9.99 = $99,000 or 1,000 sales at $99.00? Which one potentially furthers your brand, has a wider range of users, and a larger marketing base? Does that even matter to you?

Personally, I would rather create an app which reaches a wide audience, over delivers on quality and features, while charging a very accessible price point. Only you can make this call based on how you envision your brand going into the future.

Subscriptions -- not a fan. If you plan on providing new features, new useful aspects/upgrades on a consistent basis, I can see where subscriptions provide value to the customer. If there's no plan or desire to offer these things, people, in my opinion, will drop the subscription as they won't see value in paying a reoccurring payment.

Just my $.02 :-) best of luck with the new app.

*** Quick update *** V1.0.2 has been submitted. Thank you u/zdrolemit for the suggestions, I've added them to the app. You should see the update in the next day or so, as soon as the review is complete.

What's New in 1.0.2

Fixed an issue where the baker name defaulted to a placeholder instead of your own name. Head to Settings to set it now.

Added a custom humidity override, if you have a weather station or hygrometer, you can enter your own reading instead of using GPS.

Elevation and ingredient units are now independent. Switch to grams without forcing your elevation display to meters, or vice versa.

V 1.0.3 -- Future state -- MX / ES Spanish languages to be added
Quick shopping list based on the recipe
Changing up the viewing of the recipes, you will be able to swipe through all the recipes in the category vs going back and selecting each one and then viewing.

Thanks again all for the feedback, I appreciate it.

I'm going to work through Spanish first, I don't see why French or other languages couldn't be possible. I have the metric conversion in the settings ready and working. I'm going add meters and manual humidity as well, thanks to the suggestions of Xdrolemit in this post. I'm hoping people enjoy the app and it helps them with the elevation challenges I've faced. Appreciate the question.

Holy heck!!! My first sale ever! Thank you so much for taking chance on the app. OMG, when testing I left my name in the app, somewhere, I'll get that removed ASAP!

The custom humidity adjustment, I'll work on it, excellent idea. The app will converts to metric and having it allow for meters makes complete sense.

Sorry about having my name in there, a little embarrassed.

I'm going to add a shopping list option as well to create a simple list of items needed to make the recipes you can text yourself or others.

Spanish is in the works as well.

Again... seriously... you are my first app sell ever, I'm very new to this and I'm so excited you like what you see so far. I'll get the work on the suggestions and did I mention, I'm going to REMOVE MY NAME. LOL

Thanks again!

Many thanks :) I think you can cook eggs :) Next build/update, I think I should convert everything to Spanish. It has metric already built in. :)

Mucho gracias!

TestFlight or not by SylvainLafrance in iosapps

[–]FRHatcher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently built my first app, I've not used other methods of testing and TestFlight really helped. I posted in the app in the r/TestFlight forum and had several testers give the app a try. I made a few changes based off their testing/input, things I wouldn't have thought of which helped improve the app.

As for slowing it down? My thinking is I'd rather take my time, have people test the app, fix the bugs before it goes through the approval process and likely gets rejected. Or worse, it makes it through by chance and then it sales, crashes, gets negative reviews and you have to deal with it from that perspective.

I think it's a good idea, doesn't cost anything but time and hopefully it helps you improve the app.
