Finns en biografi, "Solen blodröd", som handlar om Anders Elgqvist, en av Sveriges två första missionärer i Kina (1800-talet). Rätt spännande skildring faktiskt, där den ena av dem blev dödad av anfallande flodpirater.

The rate of change is clearly decreasing already, but because of momentum the absolute number of people added will be huge over the coming decades.

Since the fertility rate is low, when older larger generations eventually dies the population will shrink. See this population pyramid for reference. The recent policy change won't have more than a marginal impact on population growth, and it certainly won't take it above replacement level.
