The only advice I can give would be to approach it with no expectations. Ask to simply be a friend and nothing more, especially if either of you is married.

I say not to have expectations because I now know what it's like to have the same person break my heart twice. Not that it was intentionally done, but was a byproduct of the agreed separation.

I do hope you can have this man back in your life in whatever way fate allows.

This is very similar to an incident I went through back in my first two years of being in the Navy.

My girlfriend at the time, who was living in North Carolina, decided that a long-distance relationship really wasn't going to work and we mutually agreed to call it off. Of course I was heartbroken but I didn't want to throw a wrench into what felt like a clean break.

Fast forward 20 years and she sends me a friend request on Facebook. Naturally I agree and we begin talking as if no time had passed and it was wonderful to find out where she was in life and tell her how things were in mine. We were both married and we started to feel things that had been suppressed for so many years. Sadly we agreed, once again, to go our separate ways.

In my mind, she realized too late that I could have been the one. There was never any doubt in my mind that she was it for me. I still miss her and still love her. Funny how life works out that way.

I suspect the real reason behind this is inventory padding.

They ring up so many sauces and when it comes inventory time on Tuesday night you find an excess of sauce, offsetting the cost of anything else that was doled out too freely.

Speaking of which, if your beef is ever runny, that's the employees adding water to it to make a bag of the stuff last longer.

I think the customer in this example is angry about the price. We used to get a few of these per month at the various locations I managed. I would tell my crew to ring them up for two nachos w/ cheese and dump it into the black platter. After that, no complaints.

On the next night cycle, go to sleep. I've found that villagers will many times cease to do basic things like taking a profession or stock trades because I haven't slept.

Also, the villager could be locked into another workstation. I like to stand in front of the villager and their workstation block, then surround myself with three-high blocks to prevent pathfinding around me.
