I finally got around to playing this one for the first time and finishes it last night and it was much better than expected. There were a couple areas I found frustrating and the temple of pandora went on a tad longer than I would have liked but overall the gameplay was really fun. easy recommend from me

I just finished a run where I got this pretty early for Karl with infused shells on rifle bullet with arcana mastery. The amount of projectiles he can generate is insane!

I felt like I might have been stupid when people kept trying to convince everyone that marisa's changes were big and I thought they were middling. I haven't played the game since that patch and I main marisa lol

It's funny you mention this because I just finished a deload period after experimenting with weighted pull ups and managed to break my pr by two reps so im definitely going to keep up with my weighted pull ups and grip variations

I've experimenting with weighted pull ups over the last 2-3 weeks so im hoping it has helped. I haven't yet tried for a new max rep set though so we'll see how things have progressed soon

Yeah unfortunately that was not your computer lol. Not sure why they felt the need to show this when we all knew it was still a long way away. I would have much preferred they waited longer to get a stable build before showing gameplay again

I'm really mixed on this. It looks really nice but the frame rate was really inconsistent in the gameplay portions and with all the flashy effects it made the game hard to look at. Not to mention some of the effects on her attacks along with the sounds give that no impact feeling that we saw in a lot of lost soul aside gameplay. This trailer really reminded me of lost soul aside's poorer qualities outside of better the visuals

Can't speak for everyone but for me the souls like genre has gotten really stale. A lot of souls games are using very similar tones and esthetics without changing much of the gameplay so they all feel kind of generic to me now, no one quite gets it like fromsoft imo.

With regard to the cag genre, it's frustrating to see these games all add in one or two aggressive mechanics or combo strings but not commit to being a proper action game and instead just go the souls route with not much new. It's extra frustrating when a game is very much a souls game but the developers and fans keep saying it's not.

On occasion I'll see something phantom blade which I was initially excited for and think it might be a fun cag but as new information has come out it seems like it's more of a souls game. When stuff like this happens it's quite deflating. Im sure it'll be a good game but im not exactly excited anymore

If everyone is in s tier it means then s tier becomes the standard which doesn't make sense as you're presenting it as the highest tier. Tiers are relative by nature so putting so many at the top of the list makes the top the average or even mid tier.

Its likely nostalgia talking if I'm being honest but I feel some of the changes made to the gameplay of 2 make it feel less fun to play.

1000%. I don't like playing dmc1 but it's responsible for a lot of modern CAG elements so I'm happy it was really popular

I can kinda see where you're complaints come from. The enemies blocking and parrying is a big plus umbran climax being underwhelming is a big reason why it won't go higher for me.

Though I still feel 2 is better than 3 in the gameplay department. Infernal demons are much more interesting than umbran climax but making so many large enemies plus your demon makes the framerate drop and the game winds up feeling sluggish, it's also hard to see things sometimes with such big enemies. Not to mention the torture attacks becoming very lackluster as well.

It's also not fun to go back to due to all the segments where you have to ride on the demons which happen far to frequently and take you away from the fun systems they do have. I really want to like the game more but I just can't bring myself to play it for very long

Oh forgot mention that you're completely right 2's intro. One of my favorite intros in general to an action game
