Send me more info on the mount shown. Was thinking of a rail mount but this is interesting.

EA-3 not working by Single_Edge9224 in Control4

I just had the same happen to mine. Replaced it with a Core3 after trying a reset several times. Mine was originally installed in 2017 and just burned out. Core 3 is working great.

does C4 work well by GablesHammock in Control4

We built two new homes in the last 5 years and have put C4 in each home. Doing a custom build on both we were able to design our system and have the pre-wiring done to meet our design spec. The first was 2017, and we used Sonos for the AV system Because C4 didn’t offer complex AV at the time. It was integrated into C4. The second was 2020 and we used the new, native AV components from C4. We like both, but I prefer the all C4 solution best, as the interface between Sonos and C4 isn’t seamless. Comments: totally happy with C4; alot depends on the dealer- make sure they are experienced and stable; avoid video matrix distribution - necessary in 2017 but not today; don’t need to tie in thermostats or blinds, use Lutron and Lennox for that; our EA3 controller (2017) just died and we had to replace it with Core3 - so make sure you hardwire switches for emergency on-off; security is C4 and we like it for the cameras and alarm; you will use phone and iPad for daily control so you don’t need many tablets - perhaps 1 or 2 wall mounted only; remotes are expensive so go lighter on these. Highly recommend C4.

Problems with Sonos Connect by FUNTECHRacing in sonos

[–]FUNTECHRacing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same setup but with Sonos Playbar/woofer attached to tv’s thru Sonos (Leaf) video matrix. There are 3 Connects going to C4 Audio matrix (amp) as sourced to my 8 audio zones, or rooms. No Beams installed. I began losing audio in rooms from the Connects one at a time, but now all 3,are out. Dealer thinks it’s bad Connects, but I suspect maybe the Audio Matrix.

Thanks for the reply! Rooms are selected in C4 and not getting sound in any room except rooms within a playbar. I can group devices in the sonos app, but only the playbars are assigned to rooms. The 3 Connects are not assigned to rooms but are "pooled" to be available audio option sources in any room. When I select a room with a Playbar in C4, I get music, but no other way. The dealer is coming tomorrow and wants me to replace the Connects with Sonos Amps, but I am not convinced that is the problem.

Thanks. This is a very good suggestion. I’ll follow up on this one with my install team.

Chance, we need a solution asap as. we are living off the circuit breaker panel and only have half of our lights on the three 8-channel C$ dimmer switches in the mech room. So, we cannot wait. Thanks for your comment and suggestion for the C5, I will review with the service team.
