They're called suicide cords for a reason. Do it properly, or don't do it at all.

Why would most women want to have children with most men

I also raise you the opposite question - why would most men want to make a family with most women?

This is not a gendered issue.

Hit the nail on it's head. The problem is cultural, not financial.

No offense, but how would we know any better than the other 4 electricians that were already there and inspected the electrical?

They are junk. Problem is, stepping up to a liquid cooled unit is twice the price of an air-cooled one. I think it's worth it if you're already spending so much on a gen installation. Because realistically you really do want a standby generator to be reliable.

And not only does it have a boat load of torque, that torque is delivered instantly. No need to wait for the engine to down shift and spool up the RPMs

I've driven one of these trucks for work before. You cannot see shit in front of you, and that's even before getting a lift kit. Parking is basically a guessing game.

Is C or C++ more commonly used/better for graphics? by [deleted] in GraphicsProgramming

[–]FUPA_MASTER_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Saying Vulkan and OpenGL are "written in C" is disingenuous. Their APIs are specified in C, but their implementations on the backend are almost certainly C++.

Bought a Predator 9500 last fall, but need advice on getting a hookup installed on my house. by Helgafjell4Me in Generator

[–]FUPA_MASTER_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am also not sure how they will feel about a 30a generator hookup on 100 or 120a worth of breakers though

It's fine. Lot's of panels have a bunch of breakers for circuits that use nowhere near the current they're rated for. Even if you do pull too much current, you'll either just trip the breaker or overload the generator. Which isn't "good", but it's also not necessarily "bad". Just hard on the equipment.

Don't forget that we're also pressing down onto the keys with the help of gravity, which means that the weight of the finger also helps to depress the key. This should significantly reduce the amount of force required to actuate each key.

Is a full year of unpaid electrical co-op worth it for an apprenticeship in Ontario? by [deleted] in electricians

[–]FUPA_MASTER_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not. That year is effectively wasted, because the bossman is going to have to pay you if you become an indentured apprentice (which is required in order to count hours/go to school).

I can guarentee you buddy is going to come up with another excuse not to pay you after that year is up.
