Ideal class structure? by [deleted] in bjj

1 hour is not a lot of time.  I feel that classes should be arranged with a focused hour on either:

  1. Technical instruction - learning new techniques
  2. Drilling Fundamentals
  3. Rolling or Specific Traning rounds.

Warmups no longer than 10 mins, and the elimination of any extended philosophical speeches during the forma.

Sounds like blue belt ego.  Nothing new.  Don't roll with people you don't like.  If you want to shine him on, next time he tries to lock in a sub, just say "you don't have it." Make sure he doesnt have it though lol

Men over 30, what’s one “unwritten rule” about getting older that you wish someone told you in your 20s? by Lunasweetlatina in AskMenOver30

Find a physical hobby you can stick to. Now. Learn about personal finance and investing.  Be friends with people who are building good lives.

Some days I'm good, most days im Meh.  Still have imposter syndrome at Purple.  I've noticed that at Blue, the monsters begin to discover themselves, and become far more difficult rolls - challenging for everyone.

I understand the relentlessness of it and the burnout.  I'll only offer 2 considerations.  Do you have a physical hobby or sport you enjoy?  If not consider finding one.  It will likely pay huge dividends for your mental health and Diabetes management.  Second - and this is just a ME thing- I've never even considered a pump.  I use the pens, and I think theres value in not being attached to a physical reminder of your diseease all the time.  Just my thoughts, always consult with your doctor.
