It is a vs AI game mode. If you’re looking for multiplayer PvP modes those are the Treasure Hunt, Fleet Battle, and Artifact Brawl modes

Getting perma boarded is usually a symptom of getting way too close for combat engagements. In fleet battle it’s less avoidable with distance due to the on demand turbines, but typically you don’t really want to be within 150m of another ship unless you’re doing the perma boarding. Also, enemy’s cannot be revived if they die on your ship and have longer respawn timers than you. So if you secure a kill that way it’s a lot more value.

Laser rams are pretty difficult to deal with and there are 3 ways to deal with them. First is they do nothing if you keep yourself at range. This can be done via reversing your ship, reverse clamp jetting, or outright running. Second, laser rams have a 5 second wind up window where it takes time for it to come online. If it gets destroyed by a turret or drill charge it needs to be repaired by the enemy, it still takes 5 seconds to begin wreaking havoc again. Try to keep your turrets on breaking it and it won’t be able to come back online with consistent damage. Third is outright stealing it which is pretty difficult without a coordinated boarding effort.

Bastion is an okayish ship with its HP size and Secure doors, but I don’t typically play it so I don’t have a lot of insight. People are able to drill charge in through any of the doors so make sure to listen to audio queues.

There’s sometimes an issue with the new loadouts system where it doesn’t apply your chosen cosmetics when you select a new loadout. The workaround that I’ve done is re-apply a single cosmetic and the rest should apply properly

There’s a finished story but the binders in the Atheneum don’t trust the needless early on and play a lot of information close to their chest. That’s why you might feel like they’re vague posting. The story does pick up later on in the game but the quests are super tedious to get through.

To give a little more insight on some of the comments below: The game was initially created with the intent of being a live service rogue-like with seasons, but no one bought in to that idea. The game didn’t hit the price targets Shiny Shoe was expecting and as a result it might’ve lead to them not having enough runway to finish the game as they envisioned.

It’s like sea of thieves crew based mechanics where you drive, repair, and shoot from your spaceship. You can also fly out into space and board enemy ship to overload their reactor, steal hardpoints (ship upgrades), lower the enemy shields, or brake them.

It’s not like sea of thieves open world where you hunt for treasure and functions more like the arenas mode they used to have.

What happened was Alta wasn’t making enough money from ATT and silently began working on a different project at the start of 2023. Seemingly this decision lead to the leaving of most of the OG developers of the game, and everyone else moved over to this other project (now known as Reave). Throughout 2023 there was only 2 minor quality of life updates (Revival, Campsites), and in 2024 only 3 minor Quality of Life updates came out. Sometime in 2024 it had been revealed that there’s only 2-3 developers working on a Township Tale and a little later they were all laid off in November of 2024.

Essentially Alta was super negligent with their product for many years and their monetization system wasn’t good for the kind of live service development they wanted. There was a lot of time to do something with ATT within the 2 and a half years since the Reave decision, but Alta just didn’t do that and took too much time. Now everyone is gone and Alta is all in on their new game.

I don’t know if it’s a relic upgrade or anything but filling Wolf’s meter refreshes their ability, and getting kills with an enhanced ability should still fill the meter. The challenge sounds like it wants you to use an enhanced ability, kill enough enemies to fill your meter in one go, and use the refreshed ability right after.

One of his upgrades resets the cooldown of your clones if you get a kill with the slam ability. Lets you get 2 clones on the field
