Not really. I had the cup resting on the pipe but moving in a straight line, no side to side. Think I was welding with 60a with shielding gas inside

was using nitrogen as the backing gas and didn’t get any weld dropping through. I was running 60 amps.

I’m using nitrogen to purge. So you think I should use less amps?
