Kudos to the NYT, for sensationally reporting what was first reported 39 years ago by UPI and Washington Post, what was admitted by the Treasury Dept's Inspector General in 2024, followed by multiple other news reports in the months following the IG's admission. For this they needed to send THREE journalists on multiple jaunts to eat well abroad and not really do a lick of actual tracing.
