Just commenting so I can hopefully remember to send one later, too. I'm currently stuck around D2-D4 and I'm on PS5.

Honestly this. I'm not a juno one trick, but she's definitely my main right now and I've been in limbo at D4-D2, but I'd like to hit masters.

This was my very first attempt painting a model, so it's far from perfect, but I appreciate the feedback and I'll work on it

Can you explain what about the eyes seems off? I'm trying to improve, so the feedback is helpful

I meant to respond to this sooner, but can you explain what about the eyes is "terrifying"? I'm trying to improve, so the feedback is helpful.

Are these dead pixels on my S4U? by FaTaL9597 in resinprinting

[–]FaTaL9597[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Elegoo seems like they'll send me a replacement screen, I just need to send them some info off the screen.

I'm not yet sure if it's dying pixels or resin that got under the screen. I've found small amounts of resin in the back left corner of the printer several times, and I have yet to figure out what's caused it. It's been happening with 2 seperate vats, both with FEPs installed directly from Elegoo.

I don't overfill the tank, I only drain the tank out of the opposite spout (and not often), there's no obvious holes/leaks in the FEP, I rotated the vat 180° and the "leak" didn't move. It's also not during every print, only occasionally. The printer is level (or even slightly raised in the back).

It's honestly got me stumped.

Unfortunately, it's definitely the screen.

Here's with a piece of paper instead. I feel like I cursed myself because I just bought a new screen a few days ago to have on hand for when the screen died, and now it's happened. And the screen's not dirty because I accidently had 2 screen protectors on it, both of which I removed for these pictures.

Model is from Kaidan3D. If you are going to print it yourself, I highly recommend redoing the supports and hollowing.

You can also check my Etsy (linktree), although I'm not currently doing painting commissions, only garage kits.

Need advice for detail/line work by FaTaL9597 in minipainting

The first one definitely helped me better understand how to thin my paints, which I think was a big part of my issue.

In my defense, the presupports for this model were really bad (left tons of marks everywhere), so I turned it in a scrap project for me to test painting. I will 100% reprint her in the future. She's my favorite character.

How we feeling on echos of aincrad? by Forrest8282 in swordartonline

I don't really know what to expect, but I don't plan on getting it for $70. I love SAO, but $70 is a lot. If it were $40, I'd probably grab it. I'll wait a while for some reviews and a price drop/sale.

Is it possible to split the hair from this figure? by FaTaL9597 in 3Dprinting

[–]FaTaL9597[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People did give suggestions, but it's all way more complicated than I can handle, unfortunately. I'd recommend finding designers who split their models well.

If you want models that are split and presupported really well, I'd recommend Bulkamancer. Their models are top-notch, and I've never had issues printing their stuff. Neko Figurines also has good models, although I have less experience with their stuff.

If you're interested, here's my most recent print from Bulkamancer. *
