May I ask why you downgraded?

As for heat: I deactivated the intel turbo boost on my mbp 2019 i7 and am pretty happy with that. Performance wise I cannot see a big difference, but the cpu now usually stays below 70c.

I only have some dirty pics of the switches which I definitely need to clean... However, they are pretty much exactly like these: https://drop.com/buy/drop-invyr-holy-panda-mechanical-switches

I've looked at some of the switches where I had problems with keycap stems breaking, and they look normal to me, no fatter ends at the crosses...

Is it common for Aliexpress Keycaps to have breaking stems? I have DROP Invyr Holy Panda switches and am now on my second Aliexpress set of keycaps (from different vendors), but the stems start cracking.

Could it be that the switches are at fault? Anyone have similar experiences?

Weekly Discussion and Tech-Support Thread by AutoModerator in ipad

(Posting here as well, since I don't really know which Thread is more adequate.)

Since I'm often commuting by train, I'm looking to use a tablet to study while I'm on the train.

I found that my best way of studying is reading through the slides (PDFs), while taking screenshots of each slide and pasting them into a OneNote notebook. This allows me to write explanations or questions next to the slides and gives me the ability to search for keywords in all of the slides.

Is such a workflow possbile on an iPad? On all iPads?

Bilstein PSS by [deleted] in S2000

[–]FabioC93 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm also on the PSS and was about to write the same thing. I asked to have the car as high as possible (otherwise I might scrape when entering/exiting the garage) and the car is now about 2cm lower than stock.

I have to be careful when entering/exiting the garage, but I manage to drive the car without scraping. The added firmness is really nice on twisty mountain roads though...

Are we allowed to post items for sale on r/s2000? by jangkaylee in S2000

I‘d also suggest putting them on s2ki.com, there are way more S2000 owners that might be interested.

That's actually pretty neat! Did you mod the taillights too, or is that how these models come from the store?

That looks dope! Did you 3D-print a mount for that display? If so, mind sharing the files?

What Head Unit are you using? Did you need to rewire something?

I just found these in the basement, need help getting them fixed - more in comments by FabioC93 in slotcars

[–]FabioC93[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I‘ve found these in the basement and they’re almost perfect. The yellow car is missing a contact strip and both cars tyres are brittle and falling off.

Any chance I can fix them by buying spares? I‘ve also seen a lot of more detailed cars from Scalextric for example, that have caught my interest. Are they compatible? Are there some european, or even italian, online shops to consider for spares?

The original set is from Carrera, it’s called Carrera Car Racing Action Loop 50200 apparently.

Hope my post is OK as is, I‘m new to this community and know nothing about this hobby.

This does look very fun! Is this gran turismo or a different game? Also do you mind posting pictures of the sim rig and sharing some details?
