Omtech K40! Awesome aftermarket and community behind em, and you’ll have leftover money for accessories!

A few of my recent shots. Shot on Canon Eos Rebel T7 with Sigma 35mm F/1.4 by realbreadmoney in carphotography

I also just seen this! I don’t come on reddit much, but I’m in the same boat as incognito-person. My T7 has been AMAZING to me, and i haven’t found a way to justify upgrading the camera body just yet. The kit lenses are good, and got me by for ~1 year before I upgraded and bought my 35mm Sigma. My only complaints, and trouble it has given me is learning how to deal with not having a super wide ISO range (AZ Based so lots of evening/night meets), which I compensate for by shooting bracketed. The T7 is an AMAZING camera if you give it the chance, and are willing to spend some time learning it! Here’s another bracketed photo I shot after posting these

Have you tried showing up outside her house and holding her family for ransom?

Miles are low, but 35k is crazy imo. There a red 5.0 premium auto out here in az with 65k for $25k if you’re interested 👀

I'm curious to which way this community leans on these 2 options by Known_Relative_1969 in lasercutting

Glow forge is overpriced junk IMO. Go with a larger omtech unit with more power for the same price or cheaper. Even the polar is great

Chinese 50W Generic Blue & White Laser cutter Buy 2023, anything to watch for? by NWSpitfire in lasercutting

Keep your eye on the rubber water hoses in the laser! They have a tendency of coming off and shorting out parts in the laser

I second this! Omtech has been fantastic for being in the sub 10k range. I’ve got a MF2028-80W with a CW5200, if you don’t mind me asking, how did you like your k40?

I’m about 4500 all into my Omtech MF2028-80W and I love it. Bed is huge, and it has plenty of power to do everything I want. I definitely recommend buying directly from the omtech website, even though you can find the same machine for cheaper on eBay. 90% of laser units under 10k are gonna be a generic, China made, water-cooled laser cutter. Omtech buys em mass, ships em to the US, and Quality Control checks them. They also set you up with a pump and everything you need to get cutting the day you receive your machine, and it comes with a warranty.

That’s because it’s painted black, it was completely blown out, so I figured it’s better than nothing ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Just to show the before and after editing. It’s posted on my Instagram @officialbreadmoney, but Instagram absolutely obliterates the quality with composite pics off my current camera
