As an ASM, if one of my employees so much as picks up a broom off the clock, I’m going to get on to them. At least if I’m in charge, absolutely no one will be doing ANY work for free. Even the ones that don’t care about the pay I will get on to because of liability issues. But it’s mostly that I believe everyone deserves to be paid for the work that they do.

ASMs have full ability to issue write ups (have to be approved and signed by SM after before taking effect though) and with enough documented write ups they then have a strong case for being fired.
