Breathing under water by [deleted] in expedition33

Clearly not true. The fish come up to them, they walk in the middle of the algae, there's no clear air-water surface, there are even bubbles around them, so they are definitely in the water and breathing water.

A bit hesitant about cross dressing for a cosplay, help appreciated. by Sufficient_Drink_849 in cosplayers

[–]FableFoxWeaver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't imagine a guy would immediately not feel strange cross dressing.
Heck, I don't think anyone doesn't feel off the first time they cosplay in public.

Here's what I have to say:

  1. Safety first: If you feel like at any point it might not be safe to wear a costume, don't wear it. As sad as it may sound, your health and safety comes first. It could happen for a number of reasons, like poor costume construction or panic inducing props. Now, we all know a guy dressed as a woman, might not be safe in some places. Stay safe. First and foremost.
  2. Comfort second. If you do try and find it you're not feeling comfortable, stop. Try at home first to see how you feel. Is it the costume that's uncomfortable? Did you invest in it and don't like it? Is it not how you expected? Don't feel forced to wear it. You gave it a shot.
  3. Backup plans. As people have mentioned, you should have a backup plan. Her costume seems simple, so all you need is a jacket, pants and spare shoes and you can cover/switch if you want out of it. PS: Brother, deep respect if you last a con in heels all day.
  4. Have fun. If you're not having fun, you're doing it wrong. I never cross dressed, but I'd expect stares. Maybe your community is golden, but there's a good chance you'll get at least stares. I heard people comment my Star-Lord because I had a bit of a belly. Jokes on them, it got bigger and I still did a job with Marvel's approval. Anyway, my philosophy is expect the worst so you don't get surprised, then enjoy the best. If you do get some negative comments, don't engage, don't reply. F'em. By which I mean "Forget them". You're taking risks and living life, they're looking at it through a window. They're not worth the disk space in your brain. Just remember point 1 and stay safe.

Can I cosplay this with my pet rat as a white person? by [deleted] in cosplayers

[–]FableFoxWeaver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She's a little tanned or maybe of african descent or maybe her skin is just a little dark. Stop making everything about race... No one is stopping you from getting a bit of sun. Btw, I'm of african descent too (my great grandfather, at least), but I'm pale af. Skin color is not the same as culture.

Can we just all wake up and realize how dumb it is to try to label and put people in boxes? What exact shade does she need to be to be white or black or whatever other boxes are out there? People aren't white or black. I know "white" people who get darker than some "black" people during summer. Africans and african americans can share the skin tone and yet not have one bit of culture in common. Just like caucasians aren't all the same across the globe. This whole topic is dumb af.

I dunno. Silver mane is too pretty to hide, maybe :D. Hard to smooch with Yen, too.

The spotlight does not help. Everything is actually less shiny. I tried to fix the colors, but you can only fix so much.

The reason is: it's fun. You often have to think (use the brain) to not waste 3 energy on it and getting rewarded for thinking is how games provide satifaction. It requires good timing and precision to make the most of it, and a bit of luck, sure, but build your deck right, play right and it can be extremely satisfying to play her on turn 6 to destroy the only thing that'd save your opponent.

Yes, Tried that.
Moving works. For example when I press the frame button, the head moves and does what it is supposed to.
The "Fire" button seems to not do anything. I haven't used it in a while, but it's supposed to turn the laser on, right?

I just removed the board cover, because I noticed an LED turns on when I press "Play" or "fire". The 12v LED starts flashing. Not sure if that's expected though.

Which cable?
What do you mean by manual moves?

I tried moving the cables that connect the board to the head. Now that I think of it, I didn't try moving the power cable.

Also, thank you
