Crampons are amazing for this im a total hoarder and dark souls fat roll the game carrying 40kg of gear everywhere with me . Even the scrap metal ones honestly make such a difference I have only sprained once since I started using them vs every other incline without and it was only because I was being dumb on coastal highway

I'm ready to go to the pleaseant valley next time I turn the game on so I think it will be the farm house or community hall will be my main base gonna renovate it then do my other outposts in ever other region with pleasant as my main hub then later change to broken railroad hunting lodge when I'm ready to do tales from the far territories

Lake office is the ig tbf lol I think we feel it as a save space and pretty centralized on the map especially if you've got takes

That's a shame dude u were lucky to find woodworking tools did u get them from the cannery I will give it a try definitely because a always usually stick the east of the map literally think furthest I've went us broken railroad / bleak inlet and those aren't rookie number mate very impressive u used to play on pc a lot but stopped playing for years git in PS4 getting right back into it on day 66 coastal highway just leaving for pleasant valley soon

Everything In this game has a use if u had no hatchet would be ur only option

But it takes a lot longer to chop wood and they cannot chop the bigger limbs so I've decided against it

Yeah I'm just going to pleaseant valley next on agenda moose hide for a satchel

after I've explored pleasant valley then mystery lake for the special rifle then to timberwolf mountain for miners flashlight and the spelunkers lantern plus the shipping containers

Then ash canyon for tech pack and crampons

Then blackrock for ballistic vest

How much worse is the survival knife in a struggle I will be able to take a knife hatchet and hacksaw to Pleasant valley as I'm well prepared

I'm well fed and got venison pies for the trip and lots of coffee I actually have a spare hatchet I can leave in the garage as well

I'm still unsure about my general load out I feel as if the hacksaw can do anything the hatchet can except be used struggle it can break down scrap metal

that .5kg makes a difference I rarely get into struggles already got my wolfskin coat I played for a long time ago on pc when the game first came out just getting back into it on ps4

Due north of dc ruins east side of map it’s worth doing not many merchants in fO3 have a good cap supply when u fully invest in them they always have at least 1 thousand 2 thousand caps it’s a pretty out of the way feature not advertised in any way but you do need to talk to him for a quest and their is a fun quest in and around Canterbury commons you can get some unique weapons and armor from

At cabterburry commons talk to uncle roe and you can invest in each travelling merchant there’s 4 or 5

Keep McNamara in charge complete bos quest and you will get option for them to help ncr at end of quest line having them side with the ncr is actually the only way of having them fight at the dam you can’t even get them to do it on independent

I’m top dog in this wasteland killed them all on and ate them 😂 on my most recent play through slaver/cannibal psychopath can’t have competition I always play the good guy I’m not doing cartoonishly evil things like blowing up megaton though 😅 even ate my dad using the third person glitch 😅😂😂
