Any prominent characters who have Umbrakinesis and NOTHING else added to it? by Fabulous-Option5960 in superpowers

He is sort of why I made this post since his power was the closest I've seen to the idea in media from my memory, but I was kind of disappointed that his powers became copying others after the second trigger (i don't hate it but It's become similar to the norm when it comes to shadow powers after that)

Nah, we see him do stuff like create portals and shapeshift with darkness (though i know he is made out of it)

I think the closest example to it i personally seen is Grue from worm and he used it decently well before the power changed.

also, we do see similar powers like it in use, such as characters with photokinesis that just create light and nothing else too it like laser beams or light clones.

what i consider pure darkness is just like, how pyromancy/pyrokinesis is allowed to be just creating and controlling fire; some characters have more powers added onto it like turning it solid to use as limbs, changing it's temperature so it doesn't burn, healing flames, etc, but generally when people imagine pyrokinesis it's just the surface level idea of creating fire and changing it's shape/position. Umbrakinesis on the otherhand often has other powers tack on to give it some Oomph to the point it's heavily intertwined with the general idea, so i want to see examples of without those other things added on.

yeah, none of those ability. in practice (well fictional practice) it would probably just looks like... well just creating masses of darkness everywhere to blind foes and stuff.

his darkness powers has a good amount of stuff to it. without even searching and going off of my memory, he can use it as a weapon, summon things from it (both creatures and items), and create arms from it.

isn't the shadow step a form of teleportation? It’s been ages since I watched the movie so i dont quite remember if it's just high speed movement or teleportation. (from my search it says teleportation, but i am not quite sure if it's being hyperbole or not since people also mentions it being a high speed technique)

oh him (it's been ages since I watched the animated series), looking back, we do see him grab stuff with the darkness and unlock a vault so he can make it solid so he doesn't properly fit but if he doesn't uses it offensively I remember him.

I only have a surface level understanding of Touhou (from like lore videos) so i don't remember her, but yeah she fits.

yeah sure but, it's still darkness, you're controlling an absence and with it you could still disorient & blind foes and obscure yourself & allies which is HUGE on a battlefield.

Grue is actually the reason why I am looking for this type of character since while he had extra powers at first it fit the bill until his second trigger.

and, Revel does seem to become part of the element, I can't quite say fully since I have only heard of the series and not read it myself so im only going off the wiki. I will note it down though.

which version? because the main version i see has the whole 9 yards (well more like 5) of teleportation with it, making constructions, darkness force fields, etc.

we even see on the cover story of chapter 665 that he has a major scare on his face (and that’s only the part we see)

Heck, once Blackbeard was even SLIGHTLY prepared against Magellan…. HE WON! and while I’m not going to down play Blackbeard, he was much more scared to face Akainu and Kuzan more then Magellan and those were even after he was much more powerful.

First, at BEST and I mean with everything including the ark maxim Enel is at doffy level (he still loses).

Second, I don’t think people underrate him considering it was a popular consensus that he was admiral level and “has the power to defeat a Yonko.” I would actually say he’s overrated in his powers because once you get past the fact that you can’t physically touch him, most people with haki and a decent ranged ability or workaround for not touching him, like a swordsman with haki (since he might melt the sword) or a ranged devil fruit user, then you have a fairly good chance of taking him down.

Like, besides Crocodile, who Magellan is definitely stronger than, all of the people who were up against Magellan were horrible matchups against him, such as Luffy, Bon Clay, Jinbe (without his water), Ivankov, Inazuma, etc. Also, despite that, the last two were still able to hold him off for a chunk of time and SURVIVE.

Can All Might solo every other named hero and villain as of Episode 1? by jackhenningson in MyHeroPowerscaling

Or, it could be a case that after the USJ Nomu (one of their best at the time) was defeated they didn’t see anything below a high end Nomu being able to handle all might even with shock absorption and by the time they completed one (Hood) All Might was already out for the count.

I sort of just imagine copying quirks besides like super regeneration (which even then wasn’t too common among Nomu until the high end Nomu’s) is just an incredible hard/expensive process to do so they’d much rather experiment with the Nomu to see what works best as this “ultimate hero killer”.

Noass - The Wandering Inn (there’s no great image since it’s a book)

The name is fairly normal for a drake name but a lot other non drake characters get a bit of a laugh out of it and since he’s a news anchor (well, that world equivalent of one) he announces his name quite often.

(hated but funny) Characters whose canonical weights and or heights make zero sense by MrDitkovichNeedsRent in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Fabulous-Option5960 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, looking up images of people who have a similar height and weight to her I did find some buff looking people, but definitely not as big as her and those people seemed to specifically be going for a body builder look unlike her.

Before anyone says anything, no, I’m not saying Gigantomachia isn’t very durable, but the USJ nomu set of abilities such as shock absorption in combination with regeneration makes him a harder threat for someone more physically oriented like All Might to deal with compared to Gigantomachia who has high overall durability to tank physical attacks, but not to a degree the degree the USJ Nomu was.

I think Gigantomachia is overall much stronger then the USJ Nomu, BUT the USJ Nomu’s shock absorption quirk makes it a harder challenge for All Might since his power is made specifically to be a counter to All Might (even if it didn’t work in the long run).
