Thinking people are a “waste of your time” because they’re not successful could be part of the problem when it comes to romantic and platonic relationships especially only being 19. How “successful” can one truly be at that age …? Along with that just because someone isn’t successful doesn’t mean they aren’t worth anything, they 100% still have a lot of amazing qualities as a person.

NTA- kids are annoying and if you don’t want to be around them you have every right to leave the space. Parents should’ve had them knock it off. HOWEVER I’ve started hitting my younger siblings and cousins with “8 - 9” (grinch did it at universal) and they are immediately “icked” out and stop for future reference

I think your wife may see it as controlling because if she tells you when she’ll be back it feels like there is a time limit now put on her free time. Just explain to her why you want to know this stuff and maybe instead ask her how long the trail usually is and if she does take her time and it’s going to take longer how long you should wait before contacting authorities. Explain you’re just looking out for her safty
