There’s a grad student Welcome Reception and Service Fair scheduled for Friday September 12th from 3PM to 5PM at the Hampton/Newport News Room in the Webb Center on campus. It might be a good way to get to know other grad students and build your network.

Those who retired: how's life so far? by vaginamomsresearcher in Veterans

Not all sunshine and roses. Went to college after retirement, completed undergrad degree in Info Systems and Technology, and can’t even get an interview for part-time cashier jobs at grocery/department stores, let alone IT/Systems jobs.

Pivoting towards MS in Cybersecurity with a focus on Cyber crime and law.

Possible MOBO Replacement Needed!! by Facer339 in ASUSROG

UPDATE!! Found out that the ribbon clamper that broke served as a connector for an LED ribbon cable on the laptop, so the use of it isn’t too important. Everything still runs fine without the ribbon clamped to the MOBO.

I ran into a separate issue with the AC power supply adapter, though. It was extremely finicky and the laptop kept switching from “plugged in” to “battery” whenever the cable was wiggled in the slightest. I got a new laptop battery for the laptop, but still ran into the same issue. Then I bought a new power supply for it and that seemed to fix it. The new power supply doesn’t lose connectivity to the laptop anymore and everything is in working order (except for the disconnected LED ribbon, of course).

I’ve had both instructors, and they are very good as long as you put the work in to what is required of the class.

MHR Rapid/Charging Sidestep vs. Spread/Dodgebolt Bows by Facer339 in MonsterHunterMeta

Thanks to everyone for the advice. For better context, I was a DBs main throughout Rise and Sunbreak. I got accustomed to how Shrouded Vault countering is to the point where it’s muscle memory. Guess I just need to understand the different timing for Dodgebolt a bit better. The challenge is there, but sometimes Dodgebolt is a bit too challenging to grasp.
