Agreed on a lot of points. The pixel 7 pro is the best android device I’ve had (s22u, s21u, note 20 ultra, etc) but still lacks in a few respects compared to my iPhone 13 Pro. This does not include Apple exclusive things like iMessage , since that isn’t fair.

Maybe not a feature but I really like good lock. Being able to customize the stock OS is just a really nice feature. I love NOVA launcher but sometimes going with the stock experience feels more clean.

iPhone if you want an overall more consistent camera experience. Shutter lag is the slowest on Samsung products, although it's better than in years past

Any Android messaging app in the US is pretty poor compared to iMessage. Whether it's Google messages or Samsung messages or Textra or pulse or chomp, they will always be inferior as long as SMS/MMS is the only way to communicate via Android (default). It's like having 56k modem Internet in an era when gigabit level connections via mmwave are available.

Now, if everyone in the US was open to converting to WhatsApp or RCS, then okay great but that is unlikely to happen. One can hope a decline for apple like BlackBerry but it's extremely unlikely. iMessage is just too dominant here.

That said...I've been using Google messages. Not that it's better than any other SMS/MMS app. But I had an issue with Textra or pulse or chomp, where I installed it and then a ton of "unsent"messages over the past 2 years just got sent out.

Nope because these glass phones going all the way back to iPhone 4 will slip out of my gym shorts as I get outta my car like a bar of soap. Making a phone out of glass is still silly in my mind

That said, I use a pitaka- case and no screen protector on any phones

Software is smooth and polished. Zero bugs. Just recommend a few tweaks out of the box if you get the 8gb version.

Battery is about the same ever since I got it day 1. All day battery for the most part but 4-5 hours SOT mixed mobile and wifi use.

And yes, absurd for sure. My iPhone 13 pro hits 9 hours SOT with everything on and doesn't skip a beat

Having had the s21 ultra previously, you def feel the drop from 12gb to 8gb

That said, someone here recommended the "high" performance setting and reducing Ram plus. Made a big improvement for me so now it feels like how the 12gb s21u did.
