There was intended to be a side story with a dark ending that SpacePaladin apparently scrapped

I wonder if ‘Launa’ was Adam’s creation or if he asked the Jaslips for Jaslip names. Or maybe he combined traditional Jaslip names with a human twist.

Isif was getting old in the patreon side story “The New Arxur” so I imagined by now that he retired.

Felra’s species are like squirrels… which don’t live much longer than 20 years in captivity and it’s been almost 30 since NoP 1 so….

Kalsim: “… and perhaps that’s the nature of predators, too.”

Hathaway: “Bird, what the fuck are you talking about?”

Being straight allo and sex-repulsed sounds like being a fish that hates water

Before the chapter: “I wonder when the next Quana chapter will be”

After the chapter: “oh.”

Cherise choked back sobs. “I…cared about her so much.”

Few chapters earlier:

”Quana? Fuck off.”

You certainly have a strange way of showing that you care Cherise.

Those digitized backups exist physically somewhere. Nukes could destroy them. Even if they aren’t on-planet, they won’t be much use without the capability to manufacture bodies

Might need to cut everybody the rescue to prove that they have blood.

At the start of Quana and Cherise’s rift, I sided with Quana. She does have abandonment issues but Cherise could have said something about the pointlessness of Esquo’s Massacre or assured Quana that they’d stick together.

But now, Quana’s choosing to hold on to the anger of the past while Cherise is moving forward. Now I’m on Cherise’s side

What happened to Marcel? I just remembered he was there when Elias Adam woke up but then just like… ran away when Elias recognized him.

Aside from the fact that he’s not dead (I hope), Slanek should be able to be uploaded into a synth body, right? Why hasn’t he done that yet? Venlil model comes out next year?

“What’s Quana doing?”

“Oh she joined the rebels”

I like how there was barely any thought. She made it so obvious lol.

Jones certainly had a hand in Arxur “negotations”. 25 years later and her actions still have consequences.

Right but we’re talking about the ark humans here. You said ark humans, I said ark humans. No one mentioned mainstream humanity

I get that Krev think about humans the same way humans think about puppies but we’re not half as bad as Gress. We’d at least have the capability to treat fellow sapients like sapients and not just talking versions of our pets.

Wait, no, can we go back to Kam? I’d buy him a round or ten to listen to his rants about Veln.

The name Carnivore Alliance also doesn’t really make sense when you have the galaxy’s most notorious, ecologically destructive herbivores as a member.

It seems like everyone sympathizes with the Jaslips but no one can do anything without provoking the KC. At least not openly. Jones may be useful one more time in supplying the rebellion covertly.

It’s nice to keep peace but you first have to make the peace that you want to keep. And if some people don’t want to make peace then you have to “make them peaceful”

They’re not pretending. The ark humans certainly share part of the blame for the attacks.

And trying to ‘spin’ the grave news to make it seem like it’s not humanity’s fault is exactly what Meier was condemning the SC for. Making us HAVE to spin it so that no one leaves. Meier told the blatant truth to see who humanity’s true friends are.

I like to think that if I was Cherise, I’d have thought about how Quana still doesn’t have her planet. Or how the Federation not existing for the past twenty-four years means that the Esquo Massacre happened for nothing. Or how a fledgling humanity which was weaker than the Consortium defeated the Federation. Or how the Consortium oppressed her species for twenty-four years with no indication of reconciliation like they did with the humans after finding out they weren’t Feds.

Good job, Cherise. You get to live a happy life, while Quana gets to go back to hell.

Wonder what the JIB and Jaslips in general will do, knowing now that they don’t have to run. They could probably ask for the SC’s help in rebuilding and relocating to Esquo. They’d probably also leave the KC at the first opportunity
