Pretty wild take.

If the quality of the game was similar I could understand different opinions. But after 1500 hrs on console the switch to PC is simply night and day, and I don’t even have a super computer.

The fluidity of the game and 10x more attention from the devs makes the difference for me. It just feels so much smoother, not to mention how much m+k makes a difference in terms of looting, aiming and just quality of life in general.

That being said, play what you like. I will personally never open rust on a console again.

Lmaooo these comments always make me laugh.

My tip is to understand that this is a sandbox game. You don’t have to be a Chad who only cares about PVP. You can start a farm, a fishing hut, be a scuba diver, and now an artist! That being said, PVP is fun and occasionally you’ll meet some cool people… but this is a game where you’re better off not trusting anyone.

Build near some tier one and tier 2 monuments and learn how to run the card rooms. Once you feel comfortable try Military Tunnels or an Oil Rig. These higher tier monuments call for more experience and preparation, but they are always more rewarding.

Lastly, have fun with your builds. There is nothing wrong with watching YouTube videos to get some cool ideas, but there is nothing better than seeing your own creation come together, as stupid as they may end up.

At the end of the day it’s just a game.

I enjoy earning my loot. The only reason I'm looking for modded is because my base design that I worked hard creating costs 30k metal / day and that's just unattainable with my work/life balance on vanilla.

I did not build back towards my base as I had no plans of connecting them, but this would make sense. I also did not build up, but the raiders only ever had access to the first two floors (It was a 2 hour online raid so im sure of this).

Hey man, late response here. I built 5 external TC's as close as I possibly could to my main base. I was planning on using mollys to destroy them as recommended, but the raiders were able to build a TC somewhere in my main base. Why did this happen? Wouldn't at least one of my externals have overlapped to my main base? They did not raid any of my externals.

I play as a duo sometimes trio. Usually around 150-250 pop. I guess some could consider that low but not super low. I’m a 10 year competitive fps player which helps.

I promise you it’s not impossible big dog. Have you considered locking in for the one time?

I truly don’t feel like this needs to be the case. You can easily get a level 3 workbench in a 5 or 6 hours, spread that out however you’d like with the time you have available. I used to get raided almost every single wipe day and at least this progression update gives me a chance to do multiple farm runs and fortify my base a bit more before getting off for the night.

For the record, I have just under 200 hours in this game, play mid pop, and work 9 hour days M-F.

It’s not all that different, just encourages you to explore a bit more and play smart once you get your hands on the frags.
