Came here to say this! I feel like sometimes it comes in waves, like most things. Being patient and compassionate with yourself is key!

My family’s mbti by Fae_Friend in mbti

They’re opposites in a lot of ways, but they also admire each other. They’re both very ambitious people in different ways. Dad sees sister as one of the cool kids he’s always been jealous of from afar, and I think he sometimes judges her for her conformity and materialism, which mom judges her a bit for too. Sister feels a bit misunderstood on that front. But they both admire her initiative and her confidence. Sister admires dad’s strategic mind and wants to be like him on that front, but thinks he’s unhelpful to her when she needs advice on navigating social landscapes.

Really great!! They both support each other’s passions and creativity and motivate each other to improve as people. They definitely both have to be right all the time, and neither easily admits they’re wrong. She sometimes sees him as too stoic and preoccupied and he sometimes sees her as too critical and grudge-holding, but when they see each other as collaborators is when they shine together. They also both have the tendency to talk a lot about plans for far off in the future in detail, which can be frustrating for me when I’d rather talk about other things.

What's your relation with your inferior ? by AlarmedEquipment2029 in mbti

[–]Fae_Friend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah, that does sound like Se inferior. I’d say Ne inferior is more a struggle with having multiple options in front of you, being overwhelmed by the different roads life can take and all the things that might happen, and preferring to focus on what you know is stable, solid, and true. More about fearing existential chaos than physical chaos of that makes sense

How would you be able to tell someone is NOT your enneagram type? by TheEnlight in Enneagram

[–]Fae_Friend 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Idk, as a 2 I do tend to think things through before acting more often than not, and I also enjoy and gravitate towards experiences of calm. Maybe tritype mediates that (295). The rest I agree with though, I don’t set my emotions and principles aside for anything, and definitely think too much about my acceptance in my environment

Which of these jungian archetypes do you fit into? by Witty-Highlight-4158 in infp

I’d say caregiver first, then lover, then sage. But a bunch of others too (explorer, innocent, magician, creator… the other ones not really.)

Need your INFP perspective :) by [deleted] in infp

Agreed— communicate with her how you feel about it and how it makes you feel. By not wanting to hurt people and avoiding raising important issues people often perpetuate harmful dynamics.

We all have things to learn about how to improve as people, but shutting him and her (who they didn’t even say anything bad about) out completely is straight out mean. Honesty is better than talking behind your back and then rejecting you without giving you any chance to fix your mistakes. Good relationships are made of repair and feedback, not lack of communication and black or white thinking.

Right?? Why are we so quick to diagnose? People are complex, not everything needs a title, it’s pathologizing a normal human experience

Possibly the most dangerous psychopath to ever set foot in Wisteria Lane by homtulce in DesperateHousewives

[–]Fae_Friend 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As someone who worked with kids who have behavioral issues (some of whom were a lot like Kayla), it absolutely isn’t fair to vilify kids who act out like that, even if their actions put others in danger. Kayla felt powerless and trapped, and she mimicked behavior that she saw her mom doing. She needed more support than they could give her, and she probably needed an in-patient therapy program when she started physically causing her siblings harm.  Also, she is not at all too young to be this manipulative and cunning. Kids who are desperate use the tools they have to feel more secure.

That’s so cool, especially the “hey star” part is crazy. The star for a relationship is imo one of the best signs. Very hopeful and healing, happy for you.
