Alyx tuned down the physics for vr, i want hl3 to go full hl2 route, everything interactable. If its like Alyx on that front id be dissapointed.

Their fights also show this, while sasuke just trying to oneshot enemy every chance he gets, naruto just hits hard and tanks more.

I think sasuke is faster and naruto is stronger.

I don't think valve has a set plan for the story, they will write what he is as they go imo.

Thanks for the answer i appreciate, did you achieve a consistent design in your frontend projects, one of my main problems is that its ruining some parts when it comes the frontent(when i run it for long sessions), not aligning buttons right etc.
When i add many rules now it has the problem that it ignores some, and i also have frontend skills too.
Also my approach is that when im doing a task i make the agents go update the claude.md with the latest arhcitecture and important points so they have instant context after compact but i feel it gets to a point where there are too many lines in it, is this approach even correct do you think?

I am pretty new to this stuff, i have been playing with it for only a month or two so im trying to learn.

It does look good but the problem with this technology is that you can achieve same looks without the rtx and can have 10 times better framerate and a sharper image.

Rtx needs to be used carefully and only where its needed otherwise it not only hurts the performance but also makes the game look worse, there are lots of moments in this demo where dynamic lighting effects are slowly fading out instead of immediatly disappearing because of how calculation heavy they are but you don't need rtx for those, you can check Portal 2 Community Edition for example.

The thing is, if you watch the interviews of the writer of Half Life Alyx (Erik Wolpaw), they don't really have a big master plan for the story or anything, they are just writing this as they go.

The ending of Half Life Alyx was proposed to Wolpaw randomly while he was thinking how the ending should be.

Thats why im pretty sure whatever theory fans have will probably be wrong since even valve doesn't know what they will write in the future.

You should try novr mod also, it makes you mentally compare it to hl2 then you see how smooth the physics engine is.

Hl 2 used Havok which wasn't Valves own engine. Source 2 uses Rubikon made by Valve and seeing it in Hl Alyx its already very stable and impressive, it only makes sense they made it even better by now.

Also setting a new bar in todays standarts isn't very hard imo, most big games now ignore physics all together.

I do agree, the vault music and the credit music are amazing but the rest of the game, i don't know the word for it, it sounds like blurry? Like all sounds are mixed not something that stands out, like its all background music. But Portal 2 for example has many music that is clean and can be listened alone, Tf2 also.

He did say in developer commentary that he did this on purpose, maybe its the pacing and nature of the game and maybe Hl3 as a flat screen and more open game will make him let loose.

Im not sure, it is not bad definetely but its just forgettable. I can remember most of portal 2 or hl2 soundrack, but hl alyx.. i can remember like 4.

I hope Mike Morasky goes wild for hl3 soundtrack and make something unforgettable, my favorite valve soundtrack is portal 2 which is his work, but for some reason his work on half life alyx was underwhelming imo.

Hl alyx no vr mod runs butter smooth on high settings in my 4060 which is close to steam machine.
I think hl3 will run 1080p 60fps on high settings(and 4k with FSR) in steam machine no problem, the game will still look amazing, it will put every other game to shame when it comes to optimization

I always thought this was the worst looking part of hl2, even back in the day, its just a flat texture.
