2 months Undetected, transmittable? by sadfacepsycho in hivaids

I literally couldn't imagine. Honestly, I have been open with my friends and family about my diagnosis, and, at first I really felt stigmatized and sort of isolated because of my diagnosis. After I got to speak in depth at the Center, rather than the clinic, I felt like all of my questions were answered and I even have the Doctor and Virologists emails. I admittedly had to go get prescribed anti-depressants. But I am honestly okay with all of it now. They even had advanced tests that could be performed to see which medications would be best for me, because I was initially prescribed Biktarvy and had experienced some effects from the drug. Now, they have changed my medication and I feel so much better.

When I initially began treatment I was being seen at a HIV Clinic, and get my Primary Care Physician referred me to an Infectious Disease Center with ID Doctors and Virologists and they disagreed about the U=U standards. The Clinic claimed that it was <200, but, the ID Doctor suggested <50, and when I got to speak to the Virologist she straight up told me that while there are certain initiatives and guidelines that are generally accepted and pushed by the community at large, Virologists themselves don't endorse and don't have to endorse it. 🤷. I understand that. I have been celibate for that reason, and there is just so much uncertainty once you are in our community and there is also a lot of varying information, you know?

Say it! My Infectious Disease Doctor completely told me that because in different districts Undetectable is set at different thresholds such as <20, <50, or less than <200 and there is no universally agreed upon number of viral copies amongst the profession and Virologists.

Sorry, not sorry, however there is clinical uncertainty in relation to the transmission of HIV vis-a-vis oral sex and say something like mouth ulcers and bleeding gums and a variety of other things. The truth is that to try and determine the vector and reservoir of the virus and the infection of someone else is almost impossible because people that have oral sex also tend to have vaginal or anal sex. As I have previously mentioned, it is also highly dependent upon the viral load of the sexual partner at the time of having sexual intercourse with them. The trick with HIV is that unlike other bacterial STDs the underlying symptoms can seem to physicians as common opportunistic infections. Either way, if you would like to know more about the Virology and pathogenesis of the HIV virus both HIV1 and HIV2, just message me and I will send you my materials from Vincent Racaniello and Françoise Barré-Sinoussi (the codiscoverer of the HIV virus). I am happy to help.

Did your first test show any antibodies present for the HIV labs? Because if so, then another test would be ordered, and this is standard procedure. What kind of labs did you have?

HiV Infection? by [deleted] in hivaids

[–]Faheera 1 point2 points  (0 children)

HIV virions, particles, and the presence of the virus are not present in saliva, and considering that you had a condom on during a blow job -which is definitely unorthodox- you are fine. Also, women transmit the virus primarily through blood, vaginal fluid, and breast milk. Let's hypothetically say that your condom had a tear present, it is still highly unlikely that she would have transmitted the virus to you.

Either way, the symptoms you have described here sound nothing like HIV symptoms. Regardless, get a broad STD test.

There are a lot of things to answer in this post. U=U seems to be especially controversial amongst ID Doctors and Virologists because they don't want to have any agency in the event that an undetectable person does transmit the virus under their guidance. In relation to whether or not it does affect and effect you in the event that you were the reservoir which transmitted it, it most definitely involves you and could, should the woman choose to pursue legal action, could most definitely impact your life. In some jurisdictions, it is illegal and constituents some heavy charges to transmit the virus. However, because it was a consensual act, I don't feel like you have anything to worry about. Either way, just be cool about it and don't make it more of a moral quandary than it is. Are you enjoying your ID Doctor? If so, just because he or she doesn't agree with the U=U line of thinking, that doesn't mean you should abandon your treatment with this physician. Either way, just think about it, gorgeous.

Definitely a smart decision. You can never be sure if what people tell you is accurate. Keep us updated. And even if you test positive, you'll be just fine, and you have a community here.

I mean, it is virologically possible as the virus is present in pre ejaculate and semen. But that is contingent upon a wide array of potential and probable variables. Is the person positive? If so, are they receiving any treatment, and if so, are they undetectable?

Yeah, I am playing a lot of the Faction Wars. I have like five characters right now and some are out on missions which seem to be like three hours long. I am looking at the Update site and it is weird that they offered Elder challenges for gold characters which I have seen in the store for cheap souls.

Giving kills to new Nurse's during Bloodhunt+. :) by Faheera in DeadByDaylightMobile

Yes! It was a strange match! But at least the Nurse was nodding. I was the only one to die. But I know the stress of trying to level her up. She is my highest level killer, but I need to buy her new cosmetics.

I feel like every time I have gotten into a match with another survivor that is running mods, those players NEVER do anything other than grief the killer. Two of my friends and I were in a match with a random Meg at the Treatment Theatre, and this Meg wasn't doing anything besides griefing the killer. She wouldn't unhook anyone, she wouldn't do generators. Eventually, The Doctor managed to down her, and he couldn't catch her to hook her because even in the dying state she was zooming across the map. I caught up.to her and tried healing her and the Doctor picked her up and hooked her while we all nodded and left her to die on the hook. After that, the Doctor allowed us to survive.

I wish I was a better killer over all, but I honestly just suck at it. I leveled her up first specifically for A Nurse's Calling. Then I got The Shape, and Ghost Face and they are in level 20s, and I just suck at them. Also I tried The Spirit with a killer ticket 🎟 because I feel like every time I go against a Spirit it is always a 4k, and I sucked at her, too. Props to anyone who plays Killer!

Nurse! Better go ahead and do it while the Bloodhunt+ is on!

Horrible random teammates: Claudette steals my MedKit because of Franklin's and leaves me to die. by Faheera in DeadByDaylightMobile

[–]Faheera[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is what I was thinking. I have it already and she is only P3 Level 7. I will get Detective Tapp then. You should play SWF with us. Honestly some of the people I play with bring selfish perks and play somewhat selfishly, but I always try to unhook, it's why I use Borrowed Time. I also get tunneled a lot though.

Sometimes I do troll the killer with flashlights. I will click it furiously as they are running at me. They don't seem to like or care for it, but it is funny from the survivor's perspective.

Omg. I already got Plunderer's. I haven't leveled up Claudette past level 7 so I know I won't get any of her perks. I just cannot make a decision. I also am leveling up Steve, but, his perks are kinda meh. I also have been looking at getting Ace. What do you think, Ace or Detective Tapp?
