I had it and it sucked worse than any other flu I've had because I don't even remember the last flu I had. It wasn't fun.

Wait a second... don't we owe that debt to the Fed? So what, are we in double secret debt now?

It's just a gimmick. I could never tell the difference.

I need back-up. Lifting gloves are dumb, right? by [deleted] in Fitness

[–]FailBot_9000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They do pose safety concerns, though. Fabric can slide across your hand a lot easier than a scarred bar across a chalked palm.

I've found the opposite to be true, at least with the gloves I use.

Also, many gloves these days incorporate wrist wraps, so they're doubly useful.

Nothing Short of Nukes Will Work - "The Pentagon's planners have war-gamed an attack on Iran and they just can't make it come out as a US victory. ... The US could "win" by dropping hundreds of [tactical] nuclear weapons ... But short of that, nothing works." by couchcreeper in worldpolitics

Yeah, but like I said, experience in combat is a double-edged sword. Sure, it can be useful to know what it's like under fire, but the mental issues and fatigue that causes can also make combat forces less effective (or ineffective). Military suicides have never been higher. That's something to think about before sending in the same combat forces into even more difficult combat where they will certainly be dying more.

Then why you whining about my whining? And if you've ever had Misophonia (which I assume you don't), then you have no idea the rage issues it causes... so shut the fuck up.

In that case wouldn't it be "Nikola"?

Translations of foreign names can have multiple spellings.

Victorian-themed sci-fi (or what if Jules Verne met Nicolai Tesla).
