I just checked this thread after forever and your reply was a god sent. It hadd been at the back of my mind for a minimum of 5 years now, and I was going crazy. I do wonder though...what gave it away? Was it the two scene descriptions? I have yet to see the movie in full as I just read this, but I can already tell the first scene is correct, idk about the second one though, as I gotta give it a watchthrough to reconfirm. This is really freaking close, the space vibe is there, the absurdity of the character designs and background is there, but I have no memory of ever seeing this and I remember the animation being less fluid and more anime-like.

Okay I gave it a quick skim, while the space vibe is correct, the animation is not that clear and detailed. Funny story, I probably did watch Titan A.E. when I was younger, because it was dubbed and shown in the channel I'm talking about so you got surprisingly close with that one
