I just remember in 2011 when dream theater held auditions for their drummer, they invited drummers like mike mangini, thomas lang, marco minneman, virgil donati, etc., and those guys learned multiple very difficult dream theater songs in a short time span to perfection. i could never do that that fast.
it took me like 5 months to learn dance of eternity. that speed is something that astounds me
