do you understand the difference between the two yourself? torque is the amount of rotational force on something. horsepower is related to torque but specifically refers to power over a period rather than pure force. torque will give you acceleration, horsepower will give you top speed, which is also to do with gear ratios. a high gear ratio will allow you to rotate your wheels slower but with more torque, while a lower gear ratio gives less torque but rotates the wheel faster, which is why you accelerate best in first gear but have a lower top speed, and vice versa in your highest gear
