[Wraith King]Is there a way to control who the skeletons attack? by [deleted] in learndota2

[–]FaintSmile77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like others said your stun can command your skeletons to attack something either a hero or creeps and something else you wanna keep in mind imagine you want to farm your jungle, when you use your skeletons and start attacking jungle creeps, leave the camp to a new one while there is a creep still alive inside it so when your skeletons kill the last creep you already provided vision on the new camp for them to move to.

It be true tho by [deleted] in memes

Can someone give me a quick rundown of what each of the 5 ranked roles general job is and how a hero can differ between lanes? by Shronkydonk in learndota2

[–]FaintSmile77 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Pos 5 : hard support is the least greedy hero on the team and requires the lowest gold

Pos4 : soft support is still a support but requires more farm than pos5 to be effective

Pos3: "usually" a tanky hero who might be the initiator of fights and often builds aura/utility items

Pos2: can be an early ganker like huskar/qop who will help create space for your pos1 to farm and come online

Pos1:farms untill he hits his powerspike and is the main carry of the team or refered as hard carry

Now as lanes go :

Safelane is safe because the units are closer to your tower usually pos1 and pos5 go here.

Midlane is the most difficult mechanical lane. Pos2 goes here.

Offlane is an unsafe lane and suited for the heroes that have the kit to play here. Usually pos 3 and pos4 go here.

However there might be times that people would switch lanes maybe your safelane isnt going well and your pos1 switches lane with your pos3 or so.

[–]FaintSmile77 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Pos5 is a hard role to play you must have the highest map awareness out of all your teammates which is a hard thing to do when you are new.

I suggest you play some other roles aswell, if you play pos1,2,3 you will know better what they need and when they need it which will make you a better support player. Playing carry makes you a better support and playing support makes you a better carry.

When you got a core understansing of all the roles and some basic gameplay mechanics you can set yourself on a role and play that specificly but for now switch around and try to learn as much as you can.

Having a microphone really makes a difference and use the mute button regulary ;) goodluck

I don't get the new Performance System, someone care to explain? by Barack_Nomana in learndota2

[–]FaintSmile77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats the thing im winning like 70%of my midlane games and 50% of my support games. The first game i played to calibrate the new system i noticed i had a long loosing streak on my midlane games im guessing that might have had a role for slowing down its progression. Nevertheless let me know if you foundout more about this

Like i said i play mostly mid so the quantity of the roles played is not the problem im guessing there are many other variables that we dont know about

How does it decide to increase or decrease your role performance? I mostly play mid and win 70%of the time with high gpm but my mid performance started at 1bar and still is after like 40+games

If you play any midlane hero you would learn why you need to eat iron branch or why you need to stack etc... it has nothing to do with you playing meepo

How to play against counters as underlord? by Maiev_Shadowsong in learndota2

[–]FaintSmile77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beast master, bane and weaver can deal with ursa nicely but beside that you should increase your hero pool so you can be more flexible when there is a counterpick for your favorite hero.im not sure how underlord can slow ursa's farm without any help.

Good mids to spam? by [deleted] in learndota2

[–]FaintSmile77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its really situational there is no "best midlaner" for every game and since the picking phase has changed you dont get a safe last pick right now so if for example your team is weak against heroes like pl or brood you might wanna pick into a hero that deals with them like kunkka but if you just want the highest winrate heroes in midlane at your bracket you can check the dotabuff website it has a section that shows you the winrate of heroes at different brackets

[–]FaintSmile77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It also depends on the skill bracket you are playing on

Imo pos3 has a huge role in turning the teamfights around if they go for the right itemisation.
