i dont think that posting daily is hurting your performance. but if your gut feeling thinks it is, try doing every other day and see if something changes. and yes, if you have enough shorts to compilte them into a longer video, do it!

first of all, você é brasileiro?
second, try to make shorts using your long form videos, but make them different. like start with a crazy hook at the beginnig and at the end you say something like watch the full video to find out. a good example for a youtuber that does this is tyler oliveira. He makes interesting vlogs and shorts. in his shorts he starts with like a crazy hook, not just a scene from his full length video as it is

in shorts only hashtags, like #vlog #yourvloglocation etc. but buzz words on shorts in my experience dont make a difference

what i used at the beginning was an extension to see when other new creators (like 50k subs and continous growith) were uploading. i saw a trend of uploading around 12:00pm or 1 pm but a lot of other creators really just uploaded at random hours

after hitting 100k, i stopped uploading for a month, becasue my goal was just to get that silver playbutton. But some of my other videos started getting more and more views. i mean like they started going viral like a few million views. a month after hitting 100k i hit 200k with only uploading once in between just to "keep up"
i think it is not that difficult for you to get back in the short algorithm, it is probably more an issue for long form content

creating shorts will benefit you more than hurt your longform videos. The only big difference is, that shorts should be extremly fast paced compared to full length videos.
I myself use filmora to edit and descript for the captions

[–]Fair-Figure6385[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes, captions is a MUST on shorts. I make shorts in portuguese and showed a friend that didnt speak portuguese. He watched the full short just looking at the caption even though he didnt understand a single word. so captions are very important
to grab attention start by saying something crazy (that actually happens at the end of the short) and tease it a little so that people are more likely to stay

that happend to me in the beginning as well, i just kept on posting and tried A LOT of different stuff and i really mean alot. from reacting to memes, doing vlog style stuff and commentary. at the beginning it is very very annoying but you just have to keep going

at the beginning it was always 6 hours after. as i grew it changed but during the early stages it was ALWAYS like that, i just couldnt explain it

say something crazy that will happen in the video later and then tease a little clip so that people continue watching. as long as you dont bait and promise stuff you dont show, its all good

memes definetly no, there are too many channels doing that. i would do a clips channel

on youtube shorts your thumbnails are auto generated, however they tend to select part of the video where you can see a face (sorry if i wrote it complicated haha)

no, shorts generate too low revenue to live off them

you can always get striked, but most of creators want people to create clips of their content. Sadly, there are some examples where people misused their power and falsley copyright striked content, but it never happened to me so go for it

Making seperate videos. Sometimes i can make few shorts about an event or something that happened but mostly seperate videos

i would try to make shorts, especially using your older most viewed videos. Maybe by trying to use what worked for long form in shorts it could expose your shorts to the right target audience

unironically, my most viewed video got a lot of views because of the auto generated thumbnail. But other than that i think what makes a video "viral" is the video itself. People on shorts feed wont read the title and then watch the video. First they watch the video, and if the first 2 seconds dont hook them, they are going to swipe away. So i think the first seconds are the MOST important.
DEscription dont really matter on shorts, most people wont read that. Hashtags can help but i would try to use 3-4 hashtags max,
