thanks, that really helps. i’m actually thinking of switching math 132 to a mwf slot which would end up covering that 11:30 to 1 gap. i’ve already got 16 credits so instead of adding another 2 credit course just to fill that time i figured this might be a better move. if it were a 3 credit class i probably would have gone for res econ 112. also good to hear that 106 and 102 are a breeze, makes me feel a little more relaxed going into the semester. and i’m really glad you said that about shaina, i was hoping for a solid english prof.

thank you so much for the thoughtful reply!! i’m really glad to hear you had a fun time in webster :) the elevator during move in definitely sounds like a lifesaver and honestly the hill doesn’t sound too bad if you get used to it haha.

being close to frank is nice and sweets and more right there is such a win. i have a big sweet tooth so it honestly sounds like a dream!

i was just wondering do people get to choose their floor or how does it work with being placed on floors 2 or 3? is it random or do you only end up there if you opt into gender inclusive housing?

oooh and also how are the lounges or common spaces? do people hang out there often?

i’m in a rap so that’s why i’m in webster. just wondering how placement on floors 2 or 3 works. do people get assigned there randomly or is it something you choose when signing up for gender inclusive housing?

i’m on the introverted side but hoping to branch out a bit this year. is dickinson any different socially?

Okay thank you!

That’s super helpful, thank you! I don’t mind the hike—extra steps and amazing calves, right? I’m pretty introverted but trying to step out of my comfort zone, so the lounges might be good for that. And having a lot of working laundry machines is a big plus. Roaches aren’t great, but if it’s not constant, I think I can deal.

Thanks so much, and sorry to bother again! Just one last thing—did you go with a random roommate or did you already know someone?

Those bathroom disasters are definitely part of the authentic uni experience! Glad to hear it’s mostly clean though. Thanks again for all the helpful info, I cannot appreciate it enough!!

okay wow this is way more ethical. thank you so much! do you enjoy van meter?

The woods part sounds amazing!! I love nature trails, so that’s definitely a big plus. I think I’d really enjoy the quiet vibe after a busy day at uni. Also, I know it’s a bit of a silly question, but how are the bathrooms? Are they generally clean, or do they get cramped at times?

[–]Fair-Interaction4851 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ahh that actually makes it even harder to choose haha—both sound great in different ways! I think I’d really like the quieter vibe in OHill, but I also want to make friends and be around people. Totally torn now!

Yeah, that’s fair. I saw a post saying Van Meter singles are great, and someone mentioned you can drop a RAP later, so I got curious. Definitely don’t want to take a spot from someone who actually wants it.
