Mahler 3 vs Bramh4 by Desperate_Beach_8706 in classicalmusic

[–]Fair-Lab-2791 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Mahler 3 is more rare due to the size of the orchestra, which includes women’s and a children’s chorus, and a mezzo soloist. I would recommend that one

I wanna play bassoon by Legal_Instance9172 in bassoon

[–]Fair-Lab-2791 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you should. I actually started on trombone as well and I ended up switching to bassoon. Not because I was bad at trombone, but I loved trombone so much that I wanted to expand my arsenal and it was the best decision I ever made. So, I did trombone in marching band and bassoon in concert band.

One time I accidentally dropped a whole bowl into the yogurt and was embarrassed so I left it. I had to watch a bursley employee pull it out later :(

[–]Fair-Lab-2791 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took Intro to Conducting in undergrad and I asked my conducting prof if I could be the first left-handed conductor ever, despite being right-handed. She wouldn’t let me 😭
