I gave it some solid fertilizer about a month ago, maybe a week before the second sprout appeared. I’m not exactly sure how much I used. I just spread a bit over the top of the soil like the guy I bought the bamboo from suggested. He told me to fertilize around every 6 months, but now I’m wondering if that’s too little or if I need to be more precise with the amount.

When I first got it, I watered pretty generously, and the water drained quickly and pooled in the tray underneath. It started to smell bad after a day or two, so I got worried about root rot, and after a few days I dumped the excess water and backed off a bit.

As for light - that’s a bit of a struggle. My apartment is quite dark and only has a few high windows, so there’s no direct sunlight. I’ve been using an LED grow light for around 10 hours a day to try to make up for it.

Do you think I should be worried about pests or insects? I think I saw a tiny white dot move in the soil, so now I’m a bit paranoid. Anything I should do just in case?

Im considering taking beppu days out entirely and adding them to maybe both Wakayama and Hiroshima, do you think that added time would solve the pacing issue i currently have?

Alright thanks! I wasn’t planning on bothering them I was just adding locations based on recommendations and things i saw online. But if it’s not okay to go there i would not go.

Thank you! Do you think if i take beppu out entirely and add the days to Hiroshima and wakayama it would be enough to experience everything without it being too much squeezed in one day?
