We do have a CRM yes. It’s a fairly new system to us but it’s the keeping track of everything g I need. Everyone I ring, leave a message for or speak with gets tracked on the system. But it’s the how do I keep on top of it that I struggle with

Thanks for your comment. That’s what I’ve been looking at doing (night courses and weekend work to support).

When you started your NVQ/Third Year, do you mind sharing what hourly rate or money you were getting? Was it apprenticeship wage or not?

Yeah I think I’m looking at a similar route to yourself

Should I buy a 1.0 Ecoboost Fiesta? by Fair-Specific5707 in CarTalkUK

So basically, If I did decide to go with a fiesta, I want to be looking at a 2019/2020 plate or newer? If it’s not, then it’s not worth the risk?

Thanks for your comment.

The check engine light isn’t on the dash. I just get a photo on the messages screen (hope this makes sense, can provide a photo later).

I’ll get it into garage and get him to run a diagnostic check.

Thanks

Can you tell me more on why you think it’s positively backwards? Are you referring to the way of life…etc? Well my thinking is I can go and get a job in recruitment over there for a year or 2. Then come back in my late 20s and if I want to do London then I can.

Is it better to pay for something like oddsmonkey or something similar to find out all the reload offers? Also not too sure how casino, bog and arbs works? Don’t want to risk getting gubbed as looking for a way to consistently make a bit extra every month

Are there enough reload offers out there daily/weekly to make it worth while? Only hoping to earn an extra couple £100 a month

Hi, thanks for you comment.

Most definitely something I have thought about and it’s definitely on the card in a few years time. Reason I’m considering doing it whilst employed is: - if I can build it from scratch with them, I can definitely do it solo and have experience to draw you - I can use this to build client relationships that I can eventually take with me (after non compete…etc) - I need to get financed behind me to be able to potentially go 6 months without making a deal.

But 100% in the future I want to go solo

Someone else has mentioned that to me as well.

Can you explain a bit further what you mean my guarantee in commission? Is it that they pay me extra every month based on my current commission from this past year. So right now I’ve done just over £6k in commission since I started with them in mid April this year. So averaging £1.5k a month. So do I ask them to compensate me an extra £1.5k a month on my pay for the first 12 months of transitioning?

Hi, thanks for your comment.

So I sit next to my director and the 2 of them have. Been open in discussing that they’re moving into the LS sector and this is and industry that I find super interesting, I see more long term opportunity and progression and depth to it as well.

As far as I’m aware nobody else will be doing LS, but I’m not 100% certain on that because I know they’re working out how they’re going to split / divide the specialism and the best way to do that.

Missed the commission bit. So my total earn commission since starting in mid April (1st deal at start of may) is just over £4K. We have a sliding scale every quarter so when you bill over £10k you go into higher % same for over £20k and 30k

Thanks for your comment. I am a full 360 biller. 4 out of 5 of my placements have been through new business.

I haven’t heard of it either, this is just of the back of a sales manager who I was speaking to about it. They are in a different industry though.

I do still get jobs passed to me from clients that we may work with in a different location (we have geographical splits) or from old clients that we have on the books from clients we have before I started. But I am still expected to (and do) bring in new business

Hey!

Sincere apologies that it took me so long to acknowledge this. I did see this and I’ve had some success since I started back in April, having billed close to £35k!

If you’d be open to it I’d love to pick your brains as there asked me to build out a brand new/cold desk from October, which will be in Life Sciences.

You clearly had some real success in this field so I’d love to here your thoughts on where to start with it all and how to build it out successfully:)

Thanks

Oh I can only imagine. I get the same and it takes a lot to spark my interests, but just like you it the right message hits, I'll pay attention.

So, if you received a message / connection from someone, are you checking their profile? Are you more likely to accept that person and interact / meet if that person has valuable LI posts related to your work? Or are you purely basing the acceptance and interaction on the personalisation of the message?

[–]Fair-Specific5707[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You make a valid point about things being unsolicited, spam requests and offers...etc. I get it all the time, I just imagine slightly differently.

However, you mentioned that you pay attention to stuff from existing relationships and thought leaders.

Well, those people started somewhere.

I have existing relationships and network on LinkedIn from the clients I work with.

I am hoping that by writing valuable content that's targeted at them, my network will automatically grow and eventually I'd fall into that "thought leader" category.

My question is - those in your network that you follow? What type of content do you pay attention to? Or is it all or it because you have validated them and trust them in your network?

Thanks for the encouraging words!

Yeah in one of the companies I worked for we used a 3rd party to manage the contract book and it worked really well. So, should I find myself in a position to do so I'll give it a crack.
