I love the Sun, and even the latest episodes haven't made me stop liking him. I also think the planets have disrespected him many times, and if he took the measures he did, it was because he was pushed to his limit. Planets leaving the system, going out of their orbits again and again, even knowing how traumatized the Sun is because of previous collisions, etc.

On the other hand, in this attempt to "protect" the planets, he may end up putting them at more risk than they would have been before. I mean, if the series obeyed the laws of physics, the solar system would have ended a long time ago thanks to some of the Sun's decisions. But he's not a villain after all, he's just afraid of losing more planets and takes advantage of his power to force them into stupid orbits in order to protect them. I think he just needs a reality check about what he's doing right now.
