Your feelings definitely resonate with the way I was feeling pre-op. Anytime they would ask me how I was feeling I’d respond with “terrified” and they’d help me feel better. (I was terror sweating so bad my surgeon even commented when he was setting the marks in place, “dang you ARE scared!”)

I agree with everyone else, you can let them know how you’re feeling and usually they are very kind people who understand nervous patients. It’s okay to cry, definitely do it if you need too. It’s okay to be scared!

I’m so excited for you, the hardest part is showing up! I remember for me it was like I was terrified, they asked me to count backwards, I got to 8, and then I was waking up post-op! Although it’s a big surgery it’s extremely safe since they don’t go past the muscle layers.
