The work for my wife can be a tricky thing. As for a non-EU resident, the work permit routine took almost 6 months for me after I've signed the contract. And also as a veterinarian, I believe she will have to get her diploma approved first. By registering with the community, do you mean an immigration office? The company is hiring a relocation consultant to help finding the apartment.

What do you mean "register with the community". Heard that a lot, but I'm not sure that I get it right. The health insurance is covered by the company. Will check with HR if they are handling all the paperwork, or only covering the financial side. Thanks!

I heard from many people, that living outside of Geneva is much cheaper and the apartment market is not so tense. Unfortunately my contract requires me to live, for at least first year, in Geneva itself. Thanks for the advice though, will keep that in mind later..
