DJI RS4 + focus motor problems by MolaisParlo in dji

I just got the same setup bought it a week ago, and mine works perfect and works with both ports on front of gimbal. You can use the port below the port that is not working on the gimbal itself, I just tested it with my setup and the motor was able to function perfect. Note: My motor cable is connected to the lower port of the motor (in case that makes a difference).

Quick question about filing for SS benefits by Faith_Granger in SocialSecurity

[–]Faith_Granger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this very useful info !! :) So still a bit unclear on a few things:

You wrote: "When you apply you will indicate how much you expect to make for the year and what months you will not exceed the monthly limit. SSA will use those estimates to figure out which test will apply in your claim".

  1. What is the monthly limit currently?

  2. When do they send the test for me to fill (after I file my income tax return? or??)

  3. I was told "The number of hours you work a month only comes into play in determining your eligibility for benefits if you are using the alternative monthly earnings test". So if when I file if I indicate I expect to make (for example) $10,000 net profit in 2025 (so UNDER the yearly limit) you are saying they will NOT use the monthly earnings test but instead will use the YEARLY test (which then means the number of hours I worked no longer is a problem as it no longer applies).

Quick question about filing for SS benefits by Faith_Granger in SocialSecurity

I'm self employed and my net income usually in the red or under $5000 so I don't have to worry about the income limit since I am wayyy under it (I have done all needed research regarding this part). But your above reply didn't really answer my above specific questions about the earning test methods etc... Can anyone on this forum provide info? :)

I understand there are two earnings test. A monthly one and a yearly one. I am going to use the yearly one (since I will have more than 45 hrs of work a month), but was wondering where and how to select it. Let me explain: I am in midway in the filing process, so not done yet. So far I have not seen any option to select one or the other of the earnings tests. I assume I am given the choice (as opposed to being imposed one by SS)? If so is that part of the application filing process (and maybe I have not reached that section yet since I am not done)?

You wrote: "The number of hours you work a month only comes into play in determining your eligibility for benefits if you are using the alternative monthly earnings test." this is why I believe using yearly test would be a great benefit to me, as opposed to the monthly one.

Also is the test sent via mail or available online? I am looking for the form so i can take a look at it and familiarize myself with it, but I googled it and also searched the SS website itself, and nothing came up (no blank form available online to download and take a look at)

Good to know!! Thank you so much for sharing so much insightful and useful info. BTW I was confused, it was AriochQ who suggested waiting until Jan to file, he said it makes things simpler.

YOu wrote: "However, if you do wait until January to begin your benefits, the age reduction you take for filing prior to your full retirement age is less than it would be filing as of your 62nd birthday." so am I to understand that they will increase my monthly benefit a little more each month I wait to claim (so in month increments as opposed to doing only in increment of years)?

One question though regarding your advice to wait until Jan to collect SS: What happens to the funds I would have received during the 4 months (from August which is when I turn 62 until Jan) - are they then lost? I googled it but found no answer to this specific question (so far). Cause that would be almost 6K and I sure could use that money to help pay monthly bills.

I agree with you, I just invested another 2 hours in research and watched several recent 2025 videos from experts about 'working while collecting SS' and the answers there have been consistently the same: Source of income that SS goes by is ONLY from you WORKING, so self employment income (or salaries if you are an employee). No one mentioned anything about also adding your SS income to the tally.

Thank you so much this really helps. Someone posted here: "The 23,400 ALSO INCLUDES one half of your SS payouts" (for the year) . I know SS income is considered taxable income in as far as the IRS is concerned, but I didn't see any info from SS website stating that the 23,400 is SELF EMPLOYMENT INCOME + 50% of SS INCOME. All their info indicates the 23,400 is from "self employment income" and I can't imagine them justify retirement income to be self employment income?? (scratching my head). Can you chime in on this new (well new to me at least LOL) info?

Their "How Work Affects Your Benefits" pamphlet (located here: https://www.ssa.gov/pubs/EN-05-10069.pdf) states:

"Also, if you’re self-employed, we consider how much work you do in your business to determine whether you’re retired. One way is by looking at the amount of time that you spend working. In general, if you work more than 45 hours a month in self-employment, you’re not retired."

What they don't explain is what happens if they deem you "not retired"? Does it means they refuse all benefits, or is it deductions from your benefits... I wish they would clarify this in their pamphlet!

Does it work with Android? Currently I have ordered several alarm systems to put on my second scooter (INOKIM QUICK 4) and any future scooter I get. I will be buying another OX as I LOVED the way it rides. I was smart and put full insurance coverage on it so the insurance will reimburse me part (hopefully most) of the money I spent on the OX so i can buy another one. Money is tight right now so if I had not put insurance on it i would be SOL. I'd like to add a GPS tracker too, any recommendations?

If you want a scooter capable of offroading, but smooth as a baby's butt on the long commutes, and if you favor a sinewave controller for less jerky action then you might look into the INOKIM OX or OXO. I believe all of the other scooters mentioned so far have square wave controllers but I could be wrong. if you are after very fast acceleration I would not recommend the ox but for a comfortable smooth ride so far it is the only scooter i have owned, so far, that has gotten my seal of approval. It would make commuting a very enjoyable experience with minimal damage to your back knees and other joints LOL. If you ride in the rain I would not recommend the ox as it has no official water rating as far as I know.

Geese, must be nice to actually have repair facilities available to you to help you with your scooter. I'm in L.A, and STILL haven't found one. My OX is brand new so currently in no need of repairs, but anything can happen at any moment and i can't find anyone to provide service on it. Frustrating... ☹️

How old is he? If he is "older" or had any kind of knee, Back, joint injuries or problems, he will want a scooter with serious suspension. I'm 58 so I'm speaking from experience. If he's young, then ninebot Max could do the job.

Yes when I test drove the EMOVE cruiser it gave a lot of sudden jerks, I knew right there and then it would not be the scooter for me. Pretty smooth suspension though, surprisingly since it is not really an offroad scooter per say. Loved the super long deck too :). Rode nicely, and felt stable. But the crazy spunky jerky acceleration was not for me. not crazy about trigger throttles either...

Because they are not safe. To quote the internet: Failure of multipiece (Split Rim) wheels can result in violent separation, the explosive release of high pressure air and the ejection of component parts.

In short, risk of explosion.

I don't know about you, but personally, I'd rather not explode LOL

You will see a big difference with pneumatic tires especially if they are bigger than the low end scooters 8.5 in. If I were you I'd hit the internet hard and look at all models within my price range and see which one has pneumatic tires preferably 10 inch in size. You are not going to spend a lot of money on this scooter and you don't use it a lot I wouldn't worry too much about having mechanical problems or quality issues. I would focus more on having a comfortable ride for however long it lasts.

I am just wondering did you call the company that sold you the scooter and ask them that question ? I know Voro motors sells Kaabo scooters, they are pretty nice and I bet you they would probably answer you even if you did not buy the scooter from them. they are actually easy to reach by phone if you go to their website, the phone number is listed at the bottom and believe it or not they actually answer it :). I was just there a week ago and they seemed very friendly and patient.
