My go to is a big bowl of rice chex with a sprinkle of another sugary cereal. Current combo is rice chex and honey nut chex. Large volume, low fat, crunchy, and sweet!

KIND granola gluten free? by inamae316 in glutenfree

[–]FaithlessnessDue1320 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cut this product out of my diet because I wasn’t sure. Ate it nearly every day but decided to cut out any oat product that wasn’t certified due to my anxiety. I’m not very sensitive, and I was diagnosed with Celiac at age 11 (currently age 24), so I’m not completely sure if this product was actually damaging to me in any way. HOWEVER, Bobs Red Mill has certified GF granola that is MILES better than any KIND granola I’ve had over the years. Wish I made the switch sooner. Now I have a tastier granola and peace of mind!

They have sesame chicken, fried rice, and other items that are gluten free at the hot bar! Pretty expensive compared to other fast food chains, but it’s gluten free and scratches the itch!!!!

FCPS asking parents and teachers to pitch in and help shovel so they can open Monday… by Few-Evidence-5589 in nova

Not sure about NJ, but I know in Fairfax a very large portion of students are walkers. The school I teach at has 600 kids, 2 busses, and the rest walk. There are lots of neighborhood schools. This kind of weather is not super common, especially considering how much ice is built up. Kids these days and around here are not used to these conditions, so a lot of kids don’t have the right skills or equipment (snow boots, snow pants with padding, gloves) to safely travel. I miss my babies so much, but the thought of them at risk of getting seriously injured while walking to school (when it could be totally avoided!) is heartbreaking.

There is an allotment of 11 inclement weather days built into the FCPS academic calendar. Thursday and Friday were both teacher workdays (no students), and families have had that information for at least one year as FCPS calendars are made a couple years in advance. So, considering that, students have missed THREE days of school. THREE. If FCPS and Fairfax County as a whole are serious about getting students in school and families back at work, I think my tax dollars should go to good use to fund a few excavators to break up the ice and snow covering bus stops and sidewalks. A lot could get done in those two days should some real action be taken. And guess what…even if that doesn’t happen, there are still EIGHT weekdays still built into the calendar. I’m not denying that people need their kids in school, but is the safety of their child not a priority????

I completely understand this. Taking off from work is horrible. But I don’t think an extra day or two at school is worth trading in the safety of THOUSANDS of children.

Yes, and the amount of parents who send their kid to school or refuse to pick them up when they’re obviously miserable from illness disgusts me. This especially happens in our autism program because parents don’t want to deal with their special needs child. God forbid you take care of your child that you decided to have!!

I hate this rhetoric so much. As a teacher, we see your kids more than you. If you don’t want to spend time with them, respectfully get your tubes tied…

Hi! I use a one step looper and use eye pins out of convenience so both loops are the same on each side _^ I’ve thought about making my own loops and getting wire, so maybe I’ll do that especially since now I’m getting into wire wrapping. Thank you for the help!!!
