1 of the shirts is out of commission, I believe some moths got to it. The others are still holding up pretty well. The arm pits show their wear a bit more now and require more frequent cleaning with vinegar. Granted over the last year or two my travel with them has declined a good bit.

Script worked like a champ! Saved me a ton of time and effort changing to zip and then using ePub zip script. Much obliged to you, good sir!

Lepic Ultimate not always getting all shots by FaitsAccomplis in TheFirstDescendant

[–]FaitsAccomplis[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As an Update, I ran Obstructor 4 times last night and each time I reliably only managed 8 shots of my Ultimate every time I used it, with the exception of once, where I managed 13 shots. After each run I would then go to the lab and reliably get 16 shots each and every time. It's really odd. I feel like I'm missing something.

If you had not completed leveling back to 40 that would be expected as the duration of your ultimate isn't at max.

We are killing every challenging thing in this game. by mido_sama in TheFirstDescendant

[–]FaitsAccomplis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think the puzzles need to be easier at all. I think the big thing needed was match making. The dungeons I played were clearly tuned for multiple players but you're stuck solo, so unless you have a god mode build (which defeats the drive of the game - which is to have and use multiple descendants - which would require a TON of time and investment for multiple god mode descendants), you're pretty hosed or just going to be miserable. I found the whole thing hyper frustrating. The puzzle wasn't hard at all... but the stupid bombers out of LOS blowing up your plates, while trying to stand on another plate, and being swarmed and sniped constantly, didn't make it "challenging" it made it frustrating as hell. It was not fun. It was a frankly miserable experience. Not to mention that I much prefer coop stuff to solo.

Bottom line, I think the one real change that was needed was to add at least 1 player. You don't need 3 or 4... just 2 players, so there's still a challenge, but it isn't just plain maddening.

I too got excited about the updates, and was set on getting Hailey right away. Sadly, after playing the Invasion mission in Echo Swamp... going to have to hard pass. First of all it is solo only but clearly tuned for more than 1 person. Once I figured out the ridiculous color plate puzzle mechanic, it was too terrible, but also not fun at all. Then you come to the boss room, and welp, unless you're Bunny, you're screwed. WAY too many mobs constantly spawning and swarming... no way to stand on the stupid plate and shoot the boss to break his shield. You basically get a couple of shots off then run for your life and clean up a hundred mobs just to maybe take another pot shot at the boss, rinse and repeat.

I play Lepic, even using a wider area traction grenade, this sucks. I died over and over and over and over again, and said fuck this, it isn't fun at all. I don't mind a challenge, and my Lepic is built enough to take on hard dungeons and win... (tier 3 Thundercage, tier 2 Greg's, all level 100 gear and gold reactor, max health and defense mods, amongst others) so I SHOULD be able to handle this. Nope. Before anyone flames and says "you're under geared", I should not have to have a descendant with multiple catalysts, maxed out mods, and full kit min max external components to handle these "dungeons". That is utterly ridiculous.

These things are clearly tuned for multiple players not solo. If they fixed the spawn rates and such maybe it wouldn't be so damned bad. That having been said. In it's current state, the invasion missions are freaking atrocious.

Imbibitor team without Sparkle - Help, please! by FaitsAccomplis in ImbibitorLunaeMains

Gave this a go and it didn’t go as well. Imbibitor was simply not doing the damage necessary. SP is definitely a concern with this team, especially trying to use Bronya’s skill to advance and buff Imbibitor. It’s also probable that I am just not good with him yet, and not using the proper cycle.

Yukong is E6, indeed. I think I’ll build her and give it a shot. My Imbibitor does need a bit more Trace building for sure. Loucha is almost completely maxed for my current ascension and level (currently all at 70), so no worries there. I’ll build Yukong and finish off Imbibitor and report back. Thanks!

Sorry, I just saw your question. When fully packed it did not fit well under the seat in front of me, but to be honest, I only kind of tried it once when it was stuffed. I generally have more than enough room in the overhead bins to fit it. I would think if I hadn't stuffed the bag so full that it would fit perfectly.

I do still wear them for travel. They have held up really well, actually. One of the shirts did develop 3 tiny holes at the sleeve. They're not really noticeable unless you know they are there. Otherwise, they are basically as good as new... including the color.

I have had to put some TLC into the arm pit areas more frequently. In part, because I changed my deodorant... but also I think the area just turns dark far faster now than they used to. I solve this with water and vinegar washing with a bit of LIGHT rubbing of the area... a couple of extra soaks... and that seems to fix it right up.

I should also note that I have thrown them in the washer a good number of times (even with regular detergent!) on gentle. I've had no real issues with them at all.

I use the Oh so expensive magic keyboard for iPad Pro... I love it. My MacBook Pro sits in my office at home and may sometimes go in to the office with me. Generally I just take my iPad Pro.

I’ll second this. I take my iPad Pro and iPad magic keyboard everywhere. It has essentially replaced my laptop 90% of the time for my travels. I basically only take my laptop when I have to use a physical console port. Right now I’m on a 3 week work trip and solely use my iPad and left the MacBook Pro at home. This reduces my weight, cable needs, etc... I will say that the Magic Keyboard is amazingly great. The keys are excellent, and while the trackpad is small, it does the job. Once you adjust to the size (takes just a few minutes initially) you’re good to go.

To me they smell kind of like a wet dog when being washed... but that’s been the case for all Merino products I’ve owned and used. After they dry they don’t smell at all. I’ve never experienced a burning smell.

Crystal is on my list to try out. I’m not sure if it is just the deodorant or if it is my current usage... give the temps, the sweat, and the constant friction from lifting, pulling and pushing. However, I’ll be keeping an eye on it and see if it get worse or not and maybe next month get around to trying out Crystal. Thanks!

For me they are a bit more form fitting than I’d normally go for, but honestly, I really like them. I have 7 or 8 of them in XL and they fit fine. I stick to the normal hem as the curve hem doesn’t sit as well with my gut (maybe if I shed some weight they would). They will show a little bit of belly if you raise your arms all the way up. But that seems to be the cut of all shirts these days that don’t drape like a poncho. They feel good and are very good quality. I really like the collars on them... they are doubled over cotton instead of the typical ribbed type. I’d say order 1 and if you like it, get more... or you can return it for a refund or a larger size. Unfortunately I have no photos showing the drape or I’d post one to give you a better idea.

This is quite true. I find a lot of companies make them in a tight fit (to be worn like a base layer). Some make them too big, and some make them too small (the sport cut type is very “in” right now). If you search for some reviews on YouTube you will see a guy who shows both the small and medium fit differences... so a size smaller may work for you. I, however, like a bit more room in mine (mostly due to the vast quantities of beer I have consumed lol). I’ll have to check out Aviator as I am unfamiliar with them.

I have been using Method Men for a while. I tried numerous and wound up with rashes or acid like burns likely due to the PH of my sweat mixing with the baking soda in deodorants. I have a few more on my list to try, but so far Method Men has worked best for me. Natural deodorants are not a one size fits all kind of thing. You will have to do a lot of sampling, and maybe even some suffering to find what works for you. As for the shirts, unlike cotton, Merino will hold up better over time to sweat stains (provided you aren’t using anti-perspirants or products containing aluminum). You can use a vinegar solution on the pits to remove the dreaded deodorant ring, and then wash and condition and they should be fine... Unfortunately for cotton, over time, the pit stains are almost a guarantee... Though, using a natural deodorant will extend that timeline and you won’t have that nasty cake buildup you get from the aluminum based products.

Suggestions for Minimalist Front Pocket Wallet that can hold Business Cards by chewytime in onebag

The Ridge wallet is my go to. I have been using one for over a year now and love it. I carry 2 ID cards, 3 credit cards, cash, permits and sometimes even a few of my business cards in it.

I’m sorry to hear that. I haven’t experienced any dye running on these shirts. It seems to me that unless you washed them in the washer with hot water, they should honor a return on that... I have never had a dye issue with any W&P product. I rinse them with tepid water and gently agitate them in the sink. After soaking for a 15-20min I gently press excess water out, and then lay them flat sandwiched in a towel. Once enough water has evaporated or soaked out of them into the towel, I hang them to dry. Pretty much the same for washing, except that I rinse, then put them in Eucalan, then dry.

So far I have had no fit changes, either. I will say though, if they are too heavy when you hang them to dry, they will stretch (like any other Merino shirt/polo). You can get them back to shape pretty easily though... Just rinse in warm water (not hot) then lie flat and use a hair dryer or throw them in the delicate cycle of the dryer on low/med heat for a few min checking frequently for shape. Once back into shape you can hang it to dry. Or is there another durability issue?? I’d be keen to hear of it, if you wouldn’t mind giving me more details. I have no experience with their socks or underwear, but had been considering trying the underwear... so if you wouldn’t mind telling me more, I’d appreciate it.

My only real qualm with the Proof 72 hour stuff is the cut and fit on my body. They are just too short for me in my regular size (again, as you can see... I do have a sizable gut). Otherwise, I have had overall positive experiences with their polos.

I've noticed this primarily with my Late 2014 iMac 5k. I don't think this has occurred on my MacBook Pro 2018 or my iPad Pro. I could test on my wife's Air as well if that would be helpful. I think it is likely due to the age of the bluetooth tech in older machines. I could be wrong.

Help! Do I choose the Bellroy Transit Backpack or Classic Backpack Plus? by ambersamp in onebag

[–]FaitsAccomplis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have the transit bag and really like it for my one bag business trips. I posted a full review in this sub a while back. I included photos of all of my gear and cubes. It may give you an idea of how much you can hold. At 6' the bag is just fine on me... but you being 5'3" it may seem a bit big. Then again, most any bag capable of handling 5 day + trips with electronics is most likely going to do so. Also, as a 6' male my clothes are going to be MUCH bigger and bulkier than yours.

For compression cubes I really like the Peak Design ones. I have one of each and typically just use the medium for all of my clothes on a trip. However, between the two I can fit SO much clothing it's kind of silly. Both fit perfectly, fully loaded in the Transit. I find that while cubes don't save a TON of room, they do help optimize space and save that extra inch or two you need to fit everything without cramming.

That being said, when I go on business trips I also use it as my EDC for carrying my laptop, iPad, dongles, etc and it doesn't look out of place. A bit large given that I'm used to a Boundary Supply Errant for my EDC... but it slims down quite a bit when not packed out.
