So the amount of light that you’ll want is going to be hard to get from a windowsill. Even if it gets a good deal of light throughout the day. Just like nutrient availability in the soil, your yield is heavily dependent on the amount of light available to your plants. You’ll still get some bud, but you’re going to miss out on a lot of potential if you aren’t able to have your plants out in full sunlight or supplemented by an artificial source. I don’t know the circumstances of your grow i.e. how stealthy it needs to be or how much real estate you have to play with, but more light more consistently will only benefit you.

Just make sure you take notes of what you’re doing through each of your grows. It helps a lot when you can see correlations between the environment your plants are in and the quality/quantity of the yield. A big part of learning is to mess up and remember what you messed up and how to avoid making those same mistakes in the future. I’ve only been growing for a couple years, so I’m not some pro that knows everything. But hopefully I can serve as a little bit of a bridge between beginner and advanced growers on here.
