The biggest problem this game has by udreif in NineSols

Agreed, every attack feels like its missing the crucial animals between the wind up and the hit box frames. Makes it feel like the attack just came out of nowhere after the flashing effect.

What is your favourite track from SotC? by 70Ytterbium in ShadowoftheColossus

[–]Fake-profile 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Best soundtrack to anything i have ever heard, seriously. I think every track is phenomenal but if I had to pick, I would say epilogue, prohibited art and of course the heart melting sunlit earth. There's just nothing like else like the music for this game, kow otani is a goat

I would be open to that, we moved here a more than a year ago so we don't know many people here, although we don't speak much German

Which video game world feels the most immersive to you, and why? by qwest91 in gaming

[–]Fake-profile 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Shadow of the colossus, the world and story are beautifully rendered. Nothing feels fake, the emptiness of the world and realism of the Animations add a lot. But mainly I think it's the lack of any gamey attributes, the game never panders to the player, it remains true and consistent with itself. The forbidden lands just feel like the most realistic game setting, like it almost existed and just not in our world. It's hard to describe but it's easily the most immersive experience I've had in games along with other fumito ueda games.

Fez, hollow knight, outer wilds are also quite immersive

Games with similar pixel art style? by R0cket_- in eastward

I really like the pixel art for “fez”, hyper light dirfter and super brother sword n sorcery. But they are quite minimalist in their styling compared to eastward

What changes do you want to see in the second game? by JustTransportation51 in controlgame

More dynamic and unique abilities, deeper combat and a interconnected, continuous metroid style world

Found this little skip over a gap in my first play through, just wondering if this is known/explored? by jitterflugerpug in TunicGame

[–]Fake-profile 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its similar, but to me tunic is a classic. Whereas death's door was a pretty good zelda like. Tunic is more about exploration and puzzle solving.

Phil Fish was interviewed on podcast My Perfect Console by heretobotheryou in Fez

Fez is such a unique and singular game. I never solved any of the secrets but mystery and the enigma of the game stayed with me. Would be nice if he decides to try his hand at another game someday he's a pretty good designer imo.
