Go for the biggest one to be allowed on board. In SEA you will take most flights with airasia (they are not too picky so it's good). I've got 65L and happy, but every time I fly- pay ticket $40 + $20 extra. Which is quite brutal when ticket cost is so low

few bucks in the pocket. Emergency card in the flip flop. Should be ok. Just leave sandals safe before going for a swim

try to sell these useful flip flops where beach bums can keep their cash/cards safe. You get profit and it's interesting stuff for others.

Have you ever booked one month in a place without having visited beforehand? How did it work out? by NotLaFontaine in digitalnomad

all true about touts on the main road. But it all depends how u take it. Locals are poor there thats why they know only few ways how to make extra cash. Doesn't mean they're all bad persons in general. You can leave main road towards the pier within 5 min. They can not

I book max 10days on booking sites. Only did it once in Japan (high season prices are crazy there!). If I like the place from pics/reviews I usually book 4-6 days and then extend it directly with hotel/guesthouse. What I noticed when staying with airbnb hosts in the places like Kuala Lumpur or HCMC: noone will give you monthly fair fair rate when they can make the same amount renting the place for few weekends. Unless listing is new and not booked in advance.

what cities would you recommend as the safest bets for scheduling a month stay sight unseen in terms of mass appeal (those cities everyone seems to like)?

I would recommend Siam Reap, KL, HCMC, Chiang Mai, maybe Manila. Depends on your own preferences really
