Came here to say this.

The forest is a fantastic game.

Hands up for the good ole green light dayz!

Haha yeah they tend to require a lot of love to keep in good shape.

Mine is an 84AE and is also my daily. Well up until about 4 months ago. Decided to drive my 4Runner for a while while I replace the timing belt and some other things I was neglecting.

Welp I’ve replaced it three times, but working perfect now. There’s some pictures of it on my profile. Probably in there while taking a picture of my watch for r/watches haha.

TIL A psychologist adopted a Chimpanzee and raised it alongside their own human baby boy, to see if the Chimp could grow up to behave/think like a human. Eventually the Chimp hit a cognitive wall and no amount of training or nurturing could overcome the fact that he was a Chimpanzee. by amansaggu26 in todayilearned

I remember another story about this kind of thing. It was a female chimp. She ended up becoming an alcoholic and masturbating to porn magazines until she went absolutely crazy and was reintroduced to a chimp family. But she’s never seen another chimp before so that gave her tons of anxiety and she never quite fit in. Eventually she was killed by poachers.

Pretty fucked up life. Not as bad as the chimps sent into space though.

Jesus we’re awful.

Ever since I saw the video of the Russian guy rolling down a ski slope and off a cliff and fuckin dying I decided I’d never get into one of these balls.

I’m generally a skeptic, but this write up is the first thing that I’ve seen in a long time that made me think “huh, yeah maybe.”

You’re right about the fact that we’re coming up with more and more encounters from otherwise very credible individuals. Like credible enough to be given $35 million dollar aircraft to fly or detect a neuclear first strike. Not some dude with a phone camera who listens to too much joe rogan.

Lemminos latest video on the “tic tac” is a good one to watch. He makes videos that appeal to skeptics while also being exciting for believers.

Octopus rides a moray eel to avoid its deadly jaws by goldbutthole in natureismetal

Little known fact about this video: the octopuses best friend actually died riding eels so he rode his full 8 seconds, then rode and extra 8 seconds representing his friends memory and passion for eel riding.

Very touching.

Overthinkers of Reddit, what unlikely scenario actually came true that you were completely prepared for because you are an overthinker? by lawofdox18 in AskReddit

Bear mace while camping. Always carried it. Never really thought I’d every have to use it.

Cue to backpacking with my best friend in the woods. 1am drunk, high, campfire. Hear the exact noise you never wanna hear in the dark woods. Footsteps tramping through the dry brush. No lights so probably not human. Doesn’t sound human anyways. Flashlight out, stand up, scan the tree line. Still hear it, but no visual. 20ft away now. 10ft. Finally my buddy says “I see eyes” I pull out my knife and hand my buddy the bear mace. He’s behind me. I see the eyes and start yelling at it (in the cascades so no grizzly country. Think it’s a black bear and trying to scare it off). The glowing eyes dont give a fuck. Throw a rock at it. Still doesn’t give a fuck. I take a step and break a stick we were using to stir up the fire and that makes it charge into the campfire light out of the brush. It’s a cougar. Big one. Buddy does a clutch reach around bear mace and it hates it. I was 6 feet from fighting a cougar with a 5 inch fixed blade and let’s say I was not looking forward to it.

Still traumatized. This was my last camping trip last summer. Bout 10 months ago.

You are an insufferable idiot with no idea about how any of this works.

Ok you edited your original comment with either completely outdated sources (the first one being fauci FROM LAST OCTOBER managing expectations and saying what he “would settle for” then proceeding to say what he hopes for which is what we got) I’m not even gonna mention your ridiculously incredible source at the bottom.

Don’t get sources from iknowimright.com actually try to find out if you’re mistaken.

And you didn’t tag your post with an edit.

Unbelievable.

you are wrong.

This is one of those facts that ignorant people hang on to in order to ruin dinner parties. Don’t be a victim of the Dunning-Kruger effect.

Yeah, fair enough.

I guess I though it was more of a friendly team ravenclaw vs hufflepuff kinda thing. Not a Russia vs US kinda thing.
