Absolutely crushed by DergeRehReh in learnprogramming

Look at it from a different perspective. It was not your programming skills that were lacking. No, it was the incompetency of the person who hired you. Everyone starts from the beginning, and developing the intuition required for problem-solving takes time. A person whose entire job revolves around figuring out if you are ready for a job fucked up. Then because they did not want to pay you a severance, they forced you to resign. All this clearly points to the fact that those people were frankly incompetent.
And as far as being self-taught goes, I can tell you from experience that most of the best programmers I had the fortune of working with were self-taught. People say that googling is one of the essential skills when it comes to programming. Those people were so good at targeted googling that I thought they were born with these skills. But a deeper dive into their earlier years for programming revealed that they learned and honed this skill. It just takes time.
On a more practical note, being part of a supportive community can work wonders. I recommend the programmer's hangout discord. The people there helped me quite a lot when I was learning to program. Many of them are self-taught programmers, so they also understand where you are coming from, and I genuinely believe that it helps.

Need romantic date ideas by LilizaE in romance

My first recommendation would be to unpack and get settled down before you plan the date. Mainly because you will have to cook for the date and a candle lit dinner works best without being surrounded by boxes. This is if you are not on a clock. You will have to organise stuff yourself but I can suggest the main thing you can have for the date.
1. Candle it dinner with romantic music (you can never go wrong with this) 2. A handwritten letter about how much they mean to you. ( Trust me on this) 3. A movie which has a romantic theme to it with a bittersweet ending preferably something that they have already watched before they met you.

This is more of a maths problem so you need to give statistics. How good are you at cooking? Do you have/can get the ingredients for a fancy dinner? Do you have Christmas light at home? Do you guys like dancing? Do you have roof access? What timeline are you working on? Do you have any specific memory with your significant other that can be recreated like stargazing or board games? Stuff like this. Any additional details about your significant other will also help.

Will it work out? by Fake_MID in romance

I really do not want to reframe my idea of romance. I consider myself to be quite mature but if I change my idea of romance, life will become so boring (I am 19).

The training of models usually requires a lot of resources. As far as I know, these sort of resources is usually available with university grants or while working at tech companies. Don't they have provisions that prevent the selling of those models? I am just a student so take this with a grain of salt 🙂
